CONSTITUTION:Plural polarizing layers 11, 12 forming a polarizing filter are laminated between protective layers 13, 14 with an adhesive 15-17 in-between so that the axes of polarization coincide with each other. Each of the polarizing layers 11, 12 is formed by dyeing a drawn and oriented polymer film with dichroic coloring matter such as iodine. By the multilayered structure, a high degree of polarization is attained in spite of low density of the coloring matter, and a light polarizing filter having a high degree of polarization and high transmittance is obtd.

。このような多層偏光層構造を採用することにより、低
い色素濃度で高い偏光度が得られるものとなり、高透過
率で且つ偏光度の大きい偏光フィルタの作成が可能とな
ったものである。
