Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify and microminiaturize a mechanism by arranging a linear pulse motor so as to reciprocate a reading/writing (R/W) head and a pressing mechanism in the direction to the rotating center of a disk medium. CONSTITUTION:When a power supply switch is turned on, the linear pulse motors 6, 7 are actuated, a position detecting sensor detects a recognizing plate 8 on a moving element and the R/W head 4 is positioned on an original point. Then, a cassette 102 is set up on the whole device. At that time, a pressing arm 5 is separated from the R/W head by the action of a cassette guiding cover so that the cassette 102 is loaded. Subsequently, a driving motor 3 is driven, a spindle 2 is rotated and then the positioning of the disk medium is completed by the action of a positioning pin formed on a head part. At the writing of information under said status, the R/W head 4 can be moved on a track from the outer periphery to the inner periphery to write data and also moved to an information writing track to read out data.

(Detailed description of the structure) Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing one embodiment of a microfloppy disk device according to the present invention. 101
A magnetic disk medium is provided in a removable cassette 102 having a head and butt notch (not shown) in one direction. 2 is a disk medium rotation spindle with a hub 102 insertion guide pin 2 on its head.
01 and a positioning pin 202 for the disk medium 1. A %7 flywheel 203 is provided at the other end, and a recognition band 2 is provided on the end face of the flywheel for detecting the index signal of the disk medium with a sensor (not shown).
04 (one strip in this embodiment) and a recognition band 205 (divided into 16 equal parts in this embodiment) for detecting the rotation control signal of the disk medium using a sensor (not shown). There is. Further, the drive motor 3 controlled by the control signal drives the pulleys 301, 302 and the belt 30.
It is configured to be rotatable via 3. 4 is a R/W head mounted on the gimbal 401, and is pushed up from three sides by a compression coil spring (not shown) from the bottom of the gimbal, and then pushed down by three screws on the top side to connect to the disk medium. The structure allows the tilt and height to be adjusted. 5 is a disk medium pressurizing arm with a pad 501 at its tip;
The other end is rotatably attached to the shaft, and a screw coil spring is used to change the pressing force. 6 is a linear pulse motor mover that connects the R/W head 4° and pressure arm 5.
The R/W head is constructed so that it can be driven back and forth toward the center of rotation of the disk medium, and is driven integrally with a linear pulse motor stator 7 provided with a coil controlled by a control signal. Further, the movable element 6 is provided with a recognition plate 8 for detecting the origin using a position detection sensor (not shown).

When the power switch (not shown >'t) is turned on in the device of this embodiment, the linear pulse motor 6.7 is activated, the position detection sensor detects the marking plate 8t provided on the moving element, and the R/W head 4 is at the origin. The 5th cassette l-102 containing the disk medium is placed in the main body of the apparatus.At this time, the pressure arm 5 is moved away from the R/W head by the action of the cassette guide lid that opens when the cassette is inserted, allowing the cassette to be inserted. Next, when the drive motor 3 is driven, the spindle 2 rotates, and the positioning of the disk medium is completed by the action of the positioning pin provided on the head.

Furthermore, the sensor is 7. The flywheel 203 detects the nine recognition bands 204 and 205 and operates at a controlled rate so that the index of rotation of the disk medium and the circumferential speed of each track on the disk medium are kept constant.

It is possible to write by moving on the track from the outer circumference (origin) of the disk medium toward the inner circumference (on the contrary, it goes without saying that it is also possible for the head to write from the inner circumference to the outer circumference). ) On the other hand, during reading, the linear pulse motors 6 and 7 are driven by the reading signal, and the head/W head moves from the origin position to the information writing track and can read. Also, the R/W head writes,
It goes without saying that the rotational speed of the spindle 20 is controlled so that the circumferential speed of each track does not change when moving over each track for reading. It is possible to read/write to a disk medium. Furthermore, when the disk cassette guide lid during R and /W is opened, a sensor (not shown) provided on the lid is activated, making it possible to cancel the R/W function.
