Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to connect a printer to a copying machine even if the carrying speed of the printer is slower than the paper carrying speed of the copying machine by arranging a baffle of which opening angle can be varied on a paper receiving part of the printer. CONSTITUTION:When the leading end of printing paper 12 reaches a paper leading end detecting sensor 23, a detecting signal is generated from the sensor 23, a control part 33 excites a solenoid 22 and the solenoid 22 opens a movable chip 21b and descends the chip 21b down to a position shown by a dotted line. In this stage, the leading end of the printing paper P is engaged with a carrying roll 24 and carried at a speed proper to a transfer speed due to a thermal head 27. Thereby, the carrying speed of the back part of the printing paper delivered to the baffle 21 is accelerated and looseness is generated in the intermediate part of the print paper 12. Since the movable chip 21b is descended, the printing paper P is suspened as shown by an alternate long and short dash line and the looseness is removed. Synchronously with the approach of the leading end of the printing paper carried by the carrying roll 24 to a transfer position, a platen 28 and a winding roll of an IDF26 are driven by the control part 33 and transfer is executed in each line.

2. Description of the Related Art Some conventional printers (stampers) connected to copying machines are capable of printing (stamping) distribution destinations, additional notes, etc. on copy paper ejected from an electronic copying machine. In this case, it is necessary to match the conveyance speed of the copy paper in the printer with the speed of the copy paper discharged from the copying machine.

However, for printers connected to conventional copying machines, the transport speed of the copy paper ejected from the copying machine must match the paper feed speed of the printer (if they do not match, the paper is (The copy paper becomes loose and causes paper jams.) Therefore, it is inconvenient that a thermal transfer type printer with a slow printing speed cannot be used.

The operation of the above configuration will be explained based on the flowchart shown in FIG. The printed paper 12 that has been copied in the copying machine 10 is transferred to the baffle 21 by the transport roll 11.
Powered by. At this time, the movable piece 2 of the baffle 21
1b is located on the upper side (solid line position). Baffle 21
The printed paper 12 inside advances within the baffle, and the leading edge of the printed paper 12 reaches the paper leading edge detection sensor 23. As a result, a detection signal is generated from the sensor 23, and the control section 33 excites the solenoid 22. Solenoid 22 is movable piece 2
Open 1b and lower it to the position shown by the broken line. At this stage, the leading edge of the print paper 12 is caught in the transport roll 24 and is transported at a speed suitable for the transfer speed by the thermal head 27. For this reason, the speed at which the rear portion of the printed paper is fed into the baffle 21 is faster, and the middle portion of the printed paper 12 becomes slack.

しかし、このとき可動片21bが下降しているため、図

However, since the movable piece 21b is lowered at this time, it hangs down as shown by the dashed line in the figure, and no slack occurs.

The take-up rolls (not shown) of the platen 28 and IDF 26 are driven by the control unit 33 in synchronization with the leading edge of the print paper 12 transported by the transport roll 24 approaching the transfer position (the timing is determined by the sensor 23). The arrival time is calculated from the feed speed of the roll 24 as the start point of the timer count, and the count amplifier time is set),
Transfer is performed line by line. When the sensor 23 detects that the print paper 12 being conveyed as the transfer progresses has passed the paper leading edge detection sensor 23, the control section 33 demagnetizes the solenoid 22, returns the movable piece 21b to its initial state, and the copying machine The receiver is ready to receive the next printed paper from 10. The print paper on which the thermal transfer has been completed is sent out to a conveyance path 29, and further sent out to an ejection tray 31 by a paper conveyance roll 30. Contrary to this embodiment, the movable piece of the baffle may be opened upward when forming a loop, or may be opened and closed in a sliding manner, of course.

However, since the detection conditions are reversed, it is necessary to invert the signal using an inverter or the like and supply it to the control unit 33, or to reverse the judgment conditions in the control unit 33.

Furthermore, although an example of a thermal transfer type printer using an IDF has been shown, the present invention applies to all other printers with slow transfer speeds, such as serial printers.

As explained above, according to the copying machine to which the stamper of the present invention is connected, since the paper receiving section of the printer is provided with a baffle whose opening angle can be varied, the paper transport speed of the printer is slower than that of the copying machine. It can also be connected to a copy machine.
