キサイタコイルの正方向の電圧で充放電用コンデ
ンサを充電し、前記磁石発電機のエキサイタコイ
ルの負方向の電圧で主サイリスタを導通させて前
記充放電用コンデンサの電荷を点火コイルの一次
コイルに放電し、同二次コイルに高電圧を発生さ
せてエンジンを点火するようにした点火装置であ
つて、前記磁石発電機に補発電コイルを設けると
ともに、前記充放電用コンデンサを充電する前記
エキサイタコイルの正方向の電圧の発生後に前記
補発電コイルの出力電圧で所定時間導通する補助
サイリスタを前記主サイリスタのゲート・カソー
ド間に設け、この補助サイリスタによつて前記充
放電用コンデンサの充電直後の前記エキサイタコ
イルの負方向の電圧を側路するとともに、このエ
キサイタコイルのつぎのサイクルの最初の負方向
の電圧で前記主サイリスタを導通させるようにし
たエンジンの点火装置において、前記補助サイリ
スタと並列にスイツチング素子を接続するととも
に、このスイツチング素子の制御電極に前記補発
電コイルによつて得られる前記エンジンの回転数
に応じた電圧を供給し、このスイツチング素子に
よつて前記エンジンの回転数に応じて前記主サイ
リスタのゲート電流の一部を側路するようにした
