Conventionally, artificial heathered decorative veneers have been produced by bonding raw veneers with laminated compressed cotton between a pair of templates of a desired shape using an adhesive, and then forming the flitch into a flitch with an adhesive layer that has a desired wood grain pattern. It was manufactured by preparing the material at a predetermined angle to the adhesive surface and then scraping the prepared surface.

However, if you want to make the grain width of the decorative veneer wider than the thickness of the raw veneer, as shown in Figure 1, the preparation angle a with respect to the adhesive surface 2 of the raw material veneer 1 (the dashed line in the figure is the preparation angle In this case, the effective portion 3 obtained as a decorative veneer with the desired wood grain pattern for the entire flitch becomes narrower as shown in the figure, and ``The cut-off portion 4 is a large loss.'' becomes.

In particular, if the raw material veneer is a processed veneer that has been subjected to treatments such as dyeing or bleaching, there will be a very large price loss, and the price of the effective part will rise accordingly. Therefore, the present inventor has completed the present invention in view of the above problems.

That is, in the present invention, a raw veneer is laminated and pressure-bonded between a pair of templates of a desired shape using an adhesive to form a flitch, and then the adhesive surface of the flitch is bonded so that the adhesive layer has a desired wood grain pattern. In this method, rough quality veneer and good quality veneer are joined at a predetermined ratio. After the raw material veneers are laminated and turned into flitch, the rough quality veneer is removed in the part that is cut out in the preparation process, so that the effective part is located with good quality veneer. The method of manufacturing artificial heathered grain veneer is characterized by successive lamination, and its most distinctive feature is the use of raw materials such that high-quality veneers are used only in the effective parts that will become decorative veneers. The present invention is explained in detail with reference to the drawings.
The figure shows a raw material veneer used in the method of the present invention, and FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view showing a flitch made by layering the veneer and a preparation wire (dotted chain line).

The raw material veneer has a thickness of 0.3 skin to 3. It is made by joining a rough-quality veneer 5, which is cheap enough to be a veneer, and a good-quality veneer 6, which is an unprocessed veneer without defects or which has been subjected to processing treatments such as dyeing and bleaching, to a preset dimension.

The method for joining the veneers 5 and 6 is not particularly limited, such as a pad joint, scarf joint, or finger joint using ordinary veneer cross-splicing material, but a method that does not use adhesive tape or thread is preferred. Next, a commonly used wood adhesive is applied to the surface of the veneer, and the veneer is laminated between a pair of mold slopes. At this time, after the raw material veneer is turned into flitch, it must be layered in order so that the rough quality veneer 5 is located in the part 4 to be cut off during preparation, and the good quality veneer 6 is located in the effective part 3. Must be. Next, the laminated veneers are longitudinally bonded to form a flitch. Subsequently, the flitch is cut at a preset angle a with respect to the adhesive surface 2, and the laminated portion 4 of the coarse quality veneer 5 is cut off, thereby reproducing the desired wood grain pattern on the prepared wood surface. It is best to prepare the materials using a regular circular saw or band mirror. Next, the prepared fritsch is thinly sliced using a cutting machine such as a slicer to obtain the desired artificial heathered decorative veneer. Since the present invention produces artificial heathered decorative veneers by the method described above, it is possible to effectively use high-quality veneers, and there is no need to waste high-quality veneers as in the past. The yield of veneer is also greatly improved, making it possible to provide artificial heathered decorative veneers at a reasonable price.

Note that as a method similar to the method of the present invention, it is possible to laminate good-quality veneers and rough-quality veneers without joining them, but it requires a lot of effort to laminate the raw material veneers and the lamination pressure is low. This is not a practical method because it is difficult to obtain a good artificial grain salmon veneer due to misalignment between the raw material veneers during tightening.

Next, a urea resin adhesive colored black and red was applied to both sides of the raw material veneer for about 100 minutes per coat, and one rough-quality veneer was first placed between the flat templates, and then placed above it as shown in Figure 2. In the following order as shown in the figure, 141 raw veneers with increasing area of high-quality veneers are laminated, then 500 raw veneers made only of high-quality veneers are laminated, and then After laminating 141 raw material veneers in which the area of good quality veneers gradually decreased on the upper surface, they were pressed at room temperature for 1 hour to obtain a flitch. The flitch was then cut at a cutting angle of about 10 degrees to remove the coarse single slope portion. Next, the toned surface was peeled off to a thickness of 0.3 using a slicer to produce an artificial heathered decorative veneer with a desired straight grain pattern at a good yield. Example [2] A raw material veneer was prepared by joining the rough-quality lauan veneer 5 and the high-quality Auus veneer 6 used in Example {1} in a configuration as shown in FIG. 4.

Next, the material is prepared so as to remove the coarse single-slope part of the fritchi to make a rectangular fritchi, and the surface of the prepared material is scraped with a slicer to a thickness of 0.4 mm to obtain an artificial grain pattern. The heathered wood veneer was produced with excellent results.
