Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of a sliding noise by attaching an elastic member to at least a part of the surface of a head chip between a chip base for fixing the head chip to a rotary cylinder and a tape sliding surface of the head chip. CONSTITUTION:As for a magnetic head chip 12 fixed to a chip base 13, an annular elastic member 16 is attached in a part between its coil 15 and a tape sliding surface 12a. In case of a video tape recorder to which the elastic member 16 is attached, a sliding noise is reduced by 2-4dB or so, as compared with a comparison example. This sliding noise reducing effect is considered to be generated due to a fact that a vibration of the head chip 12 is absorbed by the elastic member 16.

部材221C密着するようになっている。このような構
造の回転ヘッド20を用いる磁気記録再生装置において
も、前述したよりな摺動ノイズ低減効果が同様に得られ
る。
