Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は発色性が改良された、新規な感圧複写紙用染料
溶剤に関するものである。
最近における感圧複写紙の発展は目ざましいものがあり
、使用範囲もいちじるしく拡大された。
これに伴い、感圧複写紙自体も、多くの改良が加えられ
、次々と新しい染料及び発色システムが開発せられた。
一方染料溶剤は圧倒的に使用せられたＰＣＢ（ポリ塩化
ジフェニル）が、毒性問題で使用禁止せられた後に、種
々の高沸点芳香族炭化水素溶剤が開発せられ、ＰＣＢに
代って用いられた。然しながら最近における用途の多様
化、新システムの開発により、これら高沸点芳香族炭化
水素溶剤はその発色速度において、若干の問題がある事
が指摘せられ、その解決が望まれるに至った。本発明は
本間題を解決したものである。即ち感圧複写紙用の高沸
点芳香族炭化水素溶剤１０碇部１こ対し下記一般式で示
されるＲ００ＣｆＣＨ２★く００Ｒ 但し ｎ＝２一４の整数 Ｒ＝メチル基或はエチル基 脂肪酸ジェステルを０．５〜１０部の範囲で添加してな
る、すぐれた感圧複写紙用染料溶剤を提供するものであ
る。
従来感旺複写紙用染料溶剤としてェステル類を用いる事
は公知（例えばモアビジネス社米国特許第３０１６３０
８号）であるが、実際にはこれらェステル類は単独で用
いる場合、或は多量に用いた場合は、ェステル類の極性
基（カルボニル基）のために、塩基性染料と酸性発色剤
の反応による発色を妨害し、このために減感効果（発色
がうすくなる）等の欠点があり、現在感圧紙溶剤として
は使用されていない。
しかしながら本発明者等はこの様なェステル類の中で、
本発明に示されるが如き、ある限られた構造のものを高
沸点芳香族溶剤に対し、少量添加する事により、驚くべ
き事には逆に酸性発色剤に対する発色速度を大中に改良
し、しかも前記ェステル類の欠点である、滅感作用を殆
んど示さないすぐれた溶剤が得られる事を発見し、本発
明に到達したものである。本発明に係る上記脂肪酸ジェ
ステルとはコハク酸、グルタル酸、アジピン酸のメチル
及びエチルのジェステルである。
本発明範囲外即ち低級酸では沸点や臭気の点で好ましく
なく、高級脂肪酸は効果が少ない。又アルキル基につい
てもブチル基以上の長鎖ェステルでは本発明の効果は殆
んど見られない。即ち本発明の効果はメチル、エチルな
どの低級アルキル基を持つコハク酸、グルタル酸、アジ
ピン酸のジェステルに限られるものである。又添加量と
しては添加すべき芳香族溶剤の種類により多少の差はあ
るが、０．５〜１碇部の範囲内であり、好ましくは２〜
６部の範囲内である。本範囲外、例えば１礎都以上は発
色濃度がうすくなるなどの欠点が見られ、０．５部以下
は効果が不十分である。上記本発明脂肪酸ジェステルが
添加せられる高沸点芳香族炭化水素溶剤とは、ジプロピ
ルナフタリンで代表されるアルキルナフタリン類、イソ
プロピルビフェニールで代表されるアルキルビフヱニー
ル類、ジベンジルトルェンで代表されるトリアリールジ
メタン類、フェニールキシリールェタンで代表されるジ
アリールェタン類、水素化ターフェニール類等である。
本発明は上記の如く、脂肪酸ジェステルを添加して得ら
れた高沸点芳香族炭化水素溶剤を、感圧複写紙の染料溶
剤として用いるものであるが、本発明の効果は酸性発色
物質特にフェノール樹脂系発色剤、有機カルボン酸系発
色剤のいずれに対しても、無添加の場合に比し、著しい
発色速度の向上が認められた事である。
又更に特別な効果としてボールペンなどでカプセル面に
書いた場合、非常に鮮明に書けるという新しい効果を示
す事も見出された。従って本発明により、感圧複写紙用
溶剤の問題点が改善せられたのみならず、この様なすぐ
れた効果は、感圧複写紙の新規な用途の開発にも、寄与
する所が極めて大きいものである。以下実施例につき説
明する。実施例 ジプロピルナフタリン、水素化ターフェニルキシリル・
フェニルーェタンを代表的感圧複写紙用染料溶剤として
選択し、染料としてクリスタルバイオレットラクトンを
選び、ゼラチンを膜とするコアセルベーションの方法に
よりカプセル化し、紙に塗布して感圧複写紙上葵紙を作
成した。
同様に上記各溶剤に対しアジピン酸ジメチル、コハク酸
ジェチル（以上本発明品）アジピン酸ジオクチル、セバ
チン酸ジブチル（本発明外）を各々５部添加したものを
染料溶剤として上築紙を作成した。下業紙としては、市
販のフェノール系樹脂発色剤を含有する下藁紙を用い、
夫々発色速度係数を調べた結果を第１表に示す。
ここで発色速度係数とはジェステル類を添加しない芳香
族溶剤を用いて作った感圧紙の発色速度（係数＝１．０
）を基準にとり、吸光度測定による発色濃度が最高到達
濃度の８０％濃度に達する時間との比を速度係数とした
。即ち発色速度係数Ｋ＝号 ｔｏ：無添加の場合の時間 ｔ，：ジェステル添加の場合の時間 で表わされる。
第１表 第１表より明らかな如く、本発明に係るアジピン酸ジメ
チル、コハク酸ジェチルが発色速度の向上が著しいのに
対し、本発明範囲外のアジピン酸ジオクチル、セバチン
酸ジブチルでは殆んど効果が認められなかった。
実施例 ２ 実施例１と同様操作によりジプロピルナフタリンにアジ
ピン酸ジメチルを３、５、７、１５部を夫々加えたもの
を、実施例１と同様に発色速度係数を測定した。
本結果を第２表に示す。第２表 船 発色がぅすくなり、妨害作用が認められた。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １ 高沸点芳香族炭化水素溶剤１００部に対し、下記一
    般式で示される脂肪酸ジエステルを０．５〜１０部含有
    してなる事を特徴とする感圧複写紙用染料溶剤。 ＲＯＯＣ−（ＣＨ＿２）＿ｎ−ＣＯＯＲ 但し ｎ＝２〜４の整数 Ｒ＝Ｃ＿１又はＣ＿２のアルキル基。
