【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は軸封技術に係る密封装置に関するもので、特
に軸封部の接触摺動位置を移動することができる密封装
置である。

リップとの摩擦によつて摩耗が進行し、いわゆる「瘤せ
る」現象が生じシール効果が減退し洩れが生ずるように
なる。したがつてこの時点ではシール部材がまだ使用可
能な時でも回転軸または軸スリーブを交換しなくてはな
らず、メンテナンスにおいて不利益であるとともに特に
船舶用船尾管シール等の大型のシール装置ではメンテナ
ンスの費用が膨大になるものである。 本発明は上記の
点に鑑み回転軸または軸スリーブの寿命をシール部材よ
り長大にしメンテナンス時期を延ばす目的でなされたも
ので、回転軸または軸スリーブの摺動部位を軸方向に移
動せしめられるよう構成するとともに回転軸または軸ス
リーブが摩耗し、洩れが生じ軸封効果が減退した時、停
止中または運転中にシール部材を移動せしめ回転軸また
は軸スリーブとの摺動部位を変えて軸封効果を回復せし
めるようにしたものである。

間に嵌挿したゴム等の弾性環状体からなるダンパー21
を介して該軸孔3aに対し摺動自在に密封保持してなる
。また当該摺動筒19はベローズ16により押え盤12
の内径部12b方向に押圧弾性付勢されるとともに外面
19aを該内径部12bに螺合した数個の調節ボルト4
の先端に当接してなるもので、該調節ボルト4を回すこ
とにより軸方向に摺動するようになる。さらに摺動筒1
9の軸孔19bには内縁19cと前面に螺合した締結リ
ング22間にシール部材8の補強環9を有する基部8a
が密接内挿してなり、リップ部8bを回転軸1の外周に
対し摺動自在に密接外挿しバックアップスプリング11
によつて回転軸1に密接せしめて構成される。上記構成
になる密封装置は長時間の使用により摺動部においてシ
ール部材8のリップ部8bと回転軸1が摩耗するが、特
に回転軸1の方の摩耗が早く摩耗部aが生じシール部内
に封入したオイル,等が洩れるようになるが、この場合
は調節ボルト4を回動し螺合作用により進退せしめ摺動
筒19をベローズ16の弾性によつて該調節ボルト4の
移動にしたがつて軸方向に移動するものであり、シール
部材8のリップ部8bは回転軸1との新た.な摺動面を
もつて軸封効果が回復せしめられる。
