Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to enhance the efficiency of combustion, by evaporating moisture supplied under the capillary phenomenon of the wick medium, in a small amount with strong air stream so that humidified air is introduced as auxiliary fuel for gasoline. CONSTITUTION:A caplillarly medium 8 incorporated in a bellows pipe 5 is impregnated with water upto its top end since the lower part of the medium 8 is submerged in water within a water container 6 so that the moisture at the top surface of the wick medium is continued to be evaporated even in a small amount by strong air-stream which is sucked from an intake-air port 1 and passes along the top surface of the wick medium 8 so that humidified air is introduced into the engine cylinders together with gasoline through an air-cleaner and a manifold. Accordingly, the temperature of combustion within the cylinders is made higher due to the chemical action between the gasoline fuel and the humidified air to effect complete combustion which causes emission gas to be purified, and as well the efficiency of running of the engine is made satisfactory so that the reduction in the consumption of gasoline may be realized.

That is, to explain with reference to FIG. 1, which is an example, the lower part of a so-called '1'-shaped three-way joint (3) provided with an air inlet for introducing air from an air intake (1) to an air cleaner (2). Connect the upper end of a flexible pipe (5) made of I-Obiren or other suitable elastic synthetic resin to the open opening (4), and connect the lower end to the opening (7) in an airtight manner to attach a water container (6) of an appropriate capacity. A suitable wick medium (8) having capillary action is built into the container (6) and the corrugated pipe (5), the lower part of the medium (8) is immersed in the water in the container, and the upper end is immersed in the water in the container. The present invention is a humidifying device having the above-mentioned structure. To explain its function and effect, the lower part of the capillary medium (8) built in the corrugated pipe (51) is immersed in water in the water container (6). The water is absorbed by the medium (8) (which contains water up to its upper end. Due to the strong passing airflow sucked into the top surface of the water-containing medium from the air intake port (1), the moisture on the top surface of the medium continues to evaporate, albeit slightly, and becomes humid. Air is introduced into the cylinder together with gasoline through an air cleaner and manifold.

Therefore, due to the chemical action of the gasoline fuel and the humid air, the degree of burnup within the cylinder is significantly increased, and the exhaust gas is purified through complete combustion, and the engine operating efficiency is extremely improved due to the auxiliary fuel of the humid air. Therefore, it is extremely effective in saving gasoline fuel. Considering that it is said that the engine is generally in better condition on a southern day than on a sunny day, this seems to be due to the 1° intake of humid air. In the drawing, (9) is a water supply port.

) through the carburetor (A and B leading to 101 are equipped with L-shaped joints, and connected to the water container (61) through the flexible pipe 151 vC, and the water is combined with clean air by capillary action as described above and fed into the carburetor. Since the amount of water required for supplying water is small, there is no need to install an adjuster, etc., and the use of a flexible pipe takes into consideration the vibrations that occur during engine operation, and is not necessarily limited to a flexible pipe.

[Scope of Claims] The upper end of an elastic corrugated pipe made of an appropriate synthetic resin is connected to the lower open port of a three-way joint provided with an air inlet for introducing air from the air intake into the air cleaner, and the lower end is connected to an appropriate volume of water. Connected to a container, a suitable wick-shaped medium having capillary action immersed in water in the container is passed through the corrugated tube, and its upper end is held so as to be fixed to the lower opening of the three-way joint. A very small amount of moisture obtained by capillary action of the medium is completely evaporated on the upper end surface of the medium by the powerful air 1#t,vc taken in from the air intake port, and the moisture is turned into humid air.
Supplying this as auxiliary fuel, combustion efficiency? ]7 An introduction air humidifier characterized by significantly increasing humidity.
