Conventional heat-sensitive recording includes heat-sensitive color recording and heat-sensitive transfer recording. The former is a recording paper coated with leuco dye on the surface of plain paper that is heated with a thermal head to develop color. The running cost is high because processed paper is used, and the color develops with organic solvents and over time. There were drawbacks such as discoloration and unreliable preservation of records. The latter uses pigment-based ink on the surface of a thin sheet to improve the preservation of records. 1-ノζ, Book J-l-
The ink in the ink layer heated by the thermal head is melted and transferred onto plain paper overlaid with the ink sheet, and once used, the ink sheet will run out. The problem was that the ink sheet itself was expensive, and running costs were high. The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate these drawbacks by forming recesses on the surface of the ink carrier according to recording signals, applying pigment-based ink to the recesses, and transferring the ink to plain paper. Yes, and will be explained in detail below.

If a corona discharge is performed between the positive charger 4 and the negative electrode layer 2 while the ink transport body 1 is rotated in the direction of the arrow a by the motor 17, a positive charge is generated on the outer periphery of the thermoplastic synthetic resin layer 3. A negative charge is applied to the side of the electrode layer 2, and a force acts on the thermoplastic synthetic resin layer 3 to cause it to shrink. Next, a pulsed current is applied to the thermal head 5 that is in contact with the thermoplastic synthetic resin layer 3 in accordance with the recording signal to cause the heating element 6 to generate heat, and the heated minute portion of the thermoplastic synthetic resin layer 3 becomes soft and deformed. It becomes easier. At this time, there is a force acting on the thermoplastic synthetic resin layer 3 that tends to shrink due to charging, so that the minute portion is in the direction of the negative electrode layer 2, as shown in FIG. 2, which is a partially enlarged view of the developing layer 3. A concave portion 1 is formed in accordance with the shrinkage recording signal. Next, the ink supply device 7 supplies ink to the recess 1, and the wiper 10
Wipe off excess ink from areas other than recess 1. wiper 10
may be one used in general intaglio printing. The ink in the recessed portion 1 is transferred onto the recording paper 12 as dots m by a transfer roller 11. When the transfer is performed, the pulse motor 13 is synchronized with the motor 17 and feeds the recording paper 12 at a pitch of one line. If a pulse motor with a large driving force is used as the motor 17, the thermoplastic synthetic resin layer 3 and the transfer are transferred. Since the recording paper 12 can be pitch-fed one line at a time by the frictional force with the paper roller 11, the pulse motor 13 becomes unnecessary. When the transfer is completed, a negative charge is applied by the static eliminator 14 to remove the charge from the thermoplastic synthetic resin layer 3, and the thermoplastic synthetic resin layer 3 is heated by the heating device 15! The recess 1 recovers and the thermoplastic synthetic resin layer 3 becomes flat as before. Heating device 15
For this purpose, a heater or a xenon lamp is used.
Then, the ink remaining on the thermoplastic synthetic resin layer 3 is completely removed by a cleaner 16. Repeat the above actions and make sentence 4.
Records characters and pixels. The thermoplastic synthetic resin used in the present invention is widely used in optical memories, etc., and has the property of being in a solid state at room temperature, but becoming soft and easily deformed when heated above a certain temperature. When the thermoplastic synthetic resin layer 3 is heated with the thermal head 5 or the heating device 15, it immediately becomes soft, but heat is dissipated in a short time and it solidifies.

The ink used in the present invention may be any ink commonly used in intaglio printing, etc., but it is also possible to use a solid ink that becomes fluid when heated above a certain temperature and is in a solid state at room temperature. In this case, it is necessary to use a heat roller as the transfer roller 11.

Further, powder ink may be used, but in this case, it is preferable to use magnetic toner and arrange a permanent magnet inside the ink conveying body 1 or inside the transfer roller 11. Although the thermal head 5 was used as a heating means for forming the recess 1, a laser beam or a heat ray may also be used. Further, in the embodiment, a case has been described in which one ink supply device 7 is used, but it goes without saying that multicolor recording becomes possible by using a plurality of ink supply devices 7.

As explained above, the present invention forms recesses 1 in the thermoplastic synthetic resin layer 3 laminated on the outer periphery of the ink transport body 1 in accordance with recording signals, and transfers the pigment-based ink supplied to the recesses 1 onto plain paper. Since it is transferred, it has the excellent effect of obtaining records of high recording quality and good storage stability, and low running costs, and can be used in the recording section of printers and facsimile machines.
