Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform guiding work by means of single tugboat by coupling the tugboat through coupling system to the bow of guide vessel and utilizing each steering mechanism while facing the propulsion forces produced from propulsion systems in tugboat and guide vessel. CONSTITUTION:A tugboat 11 having fore recess 11a is coupled through a coupling system 14 to the bow of guide vessel 1. The propeller 12 of said tugboat 11 is operated to apply the pushing force f5 onto the hull 1 of vessel to the guided while at the same time, the propeller 12 of vessel is operated to produce propeller propulsion force f1 which is faced against the pushing force f5. The rudders 13, 3 of tugboat 11 and guide vessel and rotated in predetermined direction to produce lateral propulsion force f2. Consequently, guiding work to predetermined position can be performed by means of single tugboat.

In general, the guidance of a vessel described in section 2 above, when the vessel enters or leaves the berth, or changes direction, is not limited to the propulsion and steering functions of the rudder, propeller, etc. installed on the vessel. This is insufficient and is being carried out with the assistance of several tugboats.

In this case, the propeller 2 is rotated in the forward direction (the direction in which the ship moves forward) to generate propeller thrust f1 in the forward direction, and the rudder 3 in the wake of the propeller generated by the rotation of the propeller 2 is turned to port. Shikaruna murmurs: In this conventional ship guidance method, two or more tugboats are required to guide a ship, and coordination between the guided ship and the operators of multiple tugboats is extremely difficult. This poses a problem in that it is complicated and undesirable from a maritime traffic safety perspective.

For this reason, the inductive force method for a pier ship (rll) of the present invention involves connecting a tug to the neck of a pier ship via a coupler, and then pushing the vessel by operating the tug's propeller. At the same time, while operating the propulsion device of the vessel mentioned in item 1 to counteract the pushing force of the tugboat with the thrust of the same, A tugboat used to carry out the above-mentioned method uses a propeller and a steering operation accompanying the operation of the propeller. In a tugboat with this capability, a pair of left and right couplings are provided at the Ilp; A characteristic feature is that the bow of the tugboat has a recess shaped like J&, which fits into the neck of the vessel Ij).
