Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance centrifugal force of liquid drops by giving a rotational force thereto and to enable construction of an intermediate drum to a short length by providing subtwisted blades above twisted blades of a gas/liquid separator. CONSTITUTION:A central shaft 21 is provided to an upper end of a boss 16 at the inside of twisted blades 17 and plural numbers of sub-twisted blades 22 are provided projectedly toward externl periphery to the upper end of the central shaft 21. By this constitution, the length of the intermediate drum can be shortened because the centrifugal force of liquid drops swallowed into the central part of the intermediate drum is enhanced by the rotational force given to the liquid drops.

However, in the conventional steam/water separator configured in this way, the droplets that flowed near the center of the inlet section 19 adhere to the center boss section 16, and furthermore, the droplets that flow near the center of the inlet section 19 adhere to the center boss section 16, and furthermore, the droplets that have a steep area at the terminal end (upper end) of the two slots 16. Due to the low pressure behind the boss portion 16 as it expands, it is rolled into the center. The droplets caught in the center are subject to rotational force, therefore the centrifugal force is weak, and it takes a considerable distance to reach the wall of the intermediate barrel 15.
This caused the equipment to become larger.

In view of these points, this invention applies rotational force to the droplet caught in the center of the intermediate barrel to strengthen the centrifugal force.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a steam/water separator in which the intermediate shell can be formed short.

FIG. 3 shows an embodiment of the present invention, in which a central shaft 21 is provided at the upper end of a boss 16 disposed inside the deflecting blade 17 so as to protrude upward. This central axis 21 is coaxially arranged with the intermediate barrel 15. and,
At the upper end of this central shaft 21, there are a plurality of sub-deflecting blades n, 2.

In the steam/water separator 11A configured as described above, the movement of steam and liquid droplets passing through the twisted blades 17 is the same as in the conventional case, but the steam and liquid droplets flow near the center at the inlet s19 and adhere to the surface of the center boss 16. The closed droplet flow shows a different aspect from the conventional one. That is, after passing through the knife 16, these droplets are sucked up to the rear central part of the boss 16, but because the sub twisting blade η is present in that part, the droplets in the central part are Rotational force is applied again, and the movement starts toward the wall of the intermediate cylinder 15. By re-accelerating in the direction of the intermediate barrel 15 in this manner, the separation of air and water is completed extremely quickly. The separated droplets are dropped through the inner space of the outer shell 14 made of double cylinders and the annular path between the outer shell 14 and the intermediate shell 15,
Refluxed into the reservoir coolant.

As explained above, since the steam/water separator according to the present invention is provided with the sub-twisting blades above the twisting blades, it is possible to provide a high-performance and miniaturized steam/water separator. This has an excellent effect in that the support and combined structure of this part of the reactor can be made smaller, and the cost required for constructing the reactor can also be reduced.
