Abstract

PURPOSE:To form efficiently and easily a high-grade polished out ornamental pattern like an industrial art by winding colored fiber rods on the surface of a tubular body such as a fishing rod then coating paints having the colors different therefrom on the surface and polishing the surface until the colored fiber rods are exposed. CONSTITUTION:A fiber paralleled or woven fabric consisting of glass fibers, etc. impregnated with a thermosetting synthetic resin such as an epoxy resin or the like is wound on a mandrel and thereafter colored high-strength fiber rods 2 consisting of ''Armide(R)'' or the like impregnated likewise with the thermosetting resin on the surface are wound on the surface thereof; further the surface is tied with tapes and is subjected to a thermal curing treatment. The tapes are then stripped and the tubular body 1 adhered integrally with the rods 2 is produced. The paint 3 having the color different from the color of the rods 2 and further the paints 3', 3'' having different colors are successively coated on the partial zone of the body 1 wound with the rods 2 and are dried and thereafter the surface thereof is polished until the rods 2 are exposed. The transparent or colored transparent paint 4 is further coated on the surface thereof if necessary.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, the conventional method of polishing by overcoating the paint layer requires a great deal of effort and skill to form a rough surface of the paint layer, and it is also difficult to stabilize the pattern uniformly. However, it is inefficient and extremely expensive, making it only available to some enthusiasts.

Structure of the Invention The present invention is designed to efficiently produce such a high-grade decorative pattern. After wrapping a colored fiber strip impregnated with a thermosetting synthetic resin, its surface is taped and then heat-cured, the tape is peeled off to form a tubular body, and then the colored fiber strip is wrapped around the colored fiber strip. The gist of this method is to apply a different color paint, dry it, and then polish it until the colored fibers are exposed.

To explain the present invention in detail, after winding a fiber alignment sheet or woven fabric made of carbon fiber, glass fiber, etc. impregnated with a thermosetting synthetic resin such as epoxy resin or polyester resin around a core metal, the surface of the A colored high-strength fiber strip of aramid, carbose glass, etc. impregnated with a thermosetting synthetic resin is wrapped in a twisted, spiral or annular shape, and the surface is further bound with tape. After heat curing and peeling off the tape in the same way as when manufacturing tubular bodies such as fishing rods, a tubular body (
