Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a product having excellent designability by spraying relatively large paint particles to the outside surface of a spectacle frame over the entire area thereof or part thereof by each of prescribed colors to form a rugged surface and polishing the painted surface after drying. CONSTITUTION:Various paints 12-14 (the same with multicolors) consisting of relatively large particles are successively sprayed by each of colors to the outside surface 15 of the spectacle frame 11 over the entire area or part thereof. The surface is polished by using a buff, etc. in such a way that some recesses 16 remain to form nearly a uniform flat surface as the final stage after drying. The easy coloring of the spectacle frame with excellent designability is thus made possible.

Eyeglass frames are not only required for their functionality;
It has a strong design orientation and a wide variety of decorations. Taking the metal frames that have become the mainstream of eyeglass frames in recent years as an example, materials that are lightweight, have high tensile strength, and have spring properties are not only required for their functionality, but also for their high design quality. It is rare. Furthermore, in addition to designs created by devising the shape of such metal frames, there are also designs in which resin or the like is poured into a part of the frame and adhered to it, or a part or the entire area is painted to give it a colorful color. A variety of eyeglass frames have been developed and used.

The decorative processing of eyeglass frames according to the present invention is carried out by spraying paint onto the frames, but as described above, there are methods that appear to be similar at first glance. However, the conventional processing method is exactly the same as that used for sheet metal painting of automobiles, etc., and spraying is done by spraying a predetermined paint in the form of a mist.

In this method, paint Q) is applied to the substrate (1) as shown in Figure 1.
Sometimes the paint IJ) is applied in a layered manner with a constant thickness, and the coating is only flat and cannot give a three-dimensional effect. Furthermore, it is common to apply the coating to a certain area, and it is impossible to apply the coating in detail using the above method.

By the way, the decorative processing method according to the present invention, that is, the painting method is not a conventional flat painting, but a painting that gives a three-dimensional effect.
This method also aims to create a high-quality frame with a variety of color combinations.

The most basic element of the painting according to the present invention is the frame (

In this case - without spraying the entire surface with color, there are gaps (/3) in the outer surface (15) of the frame (//) here and there.
In the next step, paint E (

(Fig. 3) The above spraying process is performed for the number of desired colors, and of course, the next process is only applied to the empty spaces (/3) on the outer surface (/j) that were not adhered in the previous process. The paint does not stick to each other and may overlap with each other.

As a final step, the painted surface of the dried frame is polished using a polisher or the like. Of course, you can polish it by hand, but
The polished painted surface has the upper surface of the protrusions removed as shown in FIG. 4, leaving only slight depressions, and is flattened to a uniform surface.

As described above, the method for decorating eyeglass frames according to the present invention involves spraying large paint particles in each predetermined color onto the outer surface (/S) of the frame using a spray gun or the like.
After drying, the painted outer surface is polished.

Therefore, the frame painted by this method has an uneven pattern for each color that stands out, giving the pattern itself a three-dimensional appearance, giving the frame an impression of being more sophisticated than a conventional flat painting.

Furthermore, this method is extremely effective for design-oriented eyeglass frames, as it is possible to combine many colors, resulting in a wide variety of frames, and it is also possible to spray paint only on very limited details of the frame. It is a decorative processing method.
