There is one in which an electric circuit pattern is formed on the surface of an insulating substrate made of synthetic resin or the like by, for example, screen printing.

For this reason, a new mask must be made in response to a change in the electric circuit pattern, resulting in increased costs. In addition, since the mask must be replaced, it takes a considerable amount of time to align the new mask to be installed on the screen printing machine, which not only makes the work troublesome, but also reduces the operating rate. I end up.

Not only was this work cumbersome, but it was also a major hindrance when trying to automate it. Furthermore, as the size of the insulating substrate on which the electric circuit pattern is to be formed increases, the size of the screen printing machine increases, resulting in increased equipment costs.

The other side of the base paper is selectively heated in accordance with the electrical circuit pattern to be formed using a thermal head in which micro heating elements are arranged in a straight line, thereby selectively melting the base paper. It is designed to be transferred onto an insulating substrate.

At this time, the thermal head 7 is driven according to the electric circuit pattern to be formed by the action of a control circuit (not shown). As a result, the heating resistor 15 of the rethermal head 7 selectively generates heat, and the paste layer 5 of the film 1 is selectively heated. This heating selectively melts the wax in the paste layer 5 and transfers this portion of the paste onto the surface of the insulating substrate 6. In this way, the paste is transferred onto the surface of the insulating substrate 6 in accordance with the electrical circuit pattern to be formed. That is, the electric circuit pattern to be formed is converted into X-Y coordinates of minute dots, and the thermal head 7 is driven based on this, thereby reproducing the electric circuit pattern in the form of minute dots. When the insulating substrate 6 is then dried and fired at a predetermined temperature, a predetermined electric circuit pattern will be formed on its surface.
