Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable removal of cigarette smoke or CO in the air by oxidation by forming a film of Pt or Pd on the surface of fine alumina particles and constructing a filter by mixing the coated fine particles with fiber, etc. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. fine alumina particles and 1-5pts.wt. chloride of Pt or Pd are admixed with deionized water, and fine alumina particles deposited with the film of said chloride on the surface are taken out of the water and heated at 500-600 deg.C for about 1hr. Chlorine is eliminated from the film to obtain coating of activated Pt or Pd. The coated fine particles are mixed with org. fibers constituting a filter to deposit many coated particles on the surface of the fiber. By using thus obtd. filter, removal of cigarette smoke or CO in the air is possible.

、還元性ガス酸化触媒フィルタに関する。

着するが繊維と微粒子に互いに異なる静電荷を帯電させ
るか、或いは、皮膜微粒子の#細氷浴液を繊維に塗布し
乾燥すれば一層微粒子の付着は強固になる○生産性は、
皮膜微粒子の濃縮水浴液内に繊維を漬けて乾燥するσ最
後の方式が優れる。いづれの方式にせよ、極めて多数の
皮膜微粒子を付着した繊維群を集合して適度の通気抵抗
を有するフィルタを形成する〇 第1図は喫煙具(1)のフィルタ(2)に採用したもの
で、煙草(3)に火を付けて差しこ与、吸気すれば一酸
化炭素を含む煙はこのフィルタ(2)を通過する。第2
図は煙草(3)本体にフィルタ(2)を装填したもので
あり、第5図は板状にフイ凸面を有するハニカム、スポ
ンジ等の気泡体などが用途に応じて選択される。
