Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable cut sheets to be easily inserted into a cut-sheet stacker of a medium-supplying device, by providing the stacker with a means for openably fixing a top plate of the stacker. CONSTITUTION:On the lower side of a main body 1 of the printer 1 is provided the medium-supplying device 10 having a medium feeding-out port 11 at a position corresponding to a medium-inserting port 9. The cut-sheet stacker 17 comprising a medium pusher 14, a picking roller 15, a picking motor 16 or the like is provided in the interior of a casing of the device 10. The top plate of the stacker 17 is operably held by hinge pins 19, and is used also as a medium guide 12. Accordingly, since the cut sheets can be inserted into the stacker 17 from above, the inserting operation is facilitated.
