出用開口部から用紙を取り出す操作がわずらわしいとい
う欠点があった。又、従来の文書編集装置の印刷時の操
作性を改良する為に、用紙供給用開口部を液晶ディスプ
レイを支持する回転ヒンジとキーボードとの間の筺体上
部表面に設け、用紙排出用開口部を回転ヒンジより後の
筺体後部の上部表面に設けた文書編集装置が提案されて
いる。この文書編集装置では用紙供給用開口部が、液晶
ディスプレイを支持する回転ヒンジよりも前に位置する
為、用紙供給用開口部に用紙を挿入する操作は容易に行
える。しかし、用紙排出用開口部は従来の文書編集装置
と同じ様に、回転ヒンジよりも後に位置する為、印刷済
の用紙を用紙排出用開口部から取り出す操作は従来通り
わずらわしいという欠点がある。本発明の目的は、用紙
供給用開口部を液晶ディスプレイを支持する回転ヒンジ
とキーボードとの筺体上部表面に設けた文書編集装置に

ピングモータ7と、これを制御する制御基板15を設け
ている。図2は文書編集装置を横から見た一部切欠図で
あり、用紙給排紙用開口部1に用紙14を挿入した状態
を表している。この図で5と4は紙ガイドである。又、
16はプリンタで印刷された用紙の筺体13内部に収納
できない部分を一時筺体外にはみ出させる為の開口部で
ある。次に図2,図3を用い本実施例の動作について説
明する。利用者が文書編集装置で用紙に印刷を行なう場
合、図2に示した様に用紙給排紙用開口部1に用紙14
を挿入してから、キーボード12等を操作して印刷動作
を開始させる。制御基板15は用紙給排紙用開口部1に
挿入された用紙14をプリンタ6に給紙する為、搬送ロ
ーラ2を駆動するステッピングモータ7にパルス電圧を
加え、搬送ローラ2は図2の図示矢印方向に回転させら
れる。用紙14は搬送ローラ2の回転によって連続的又
は断続的にプリンタ6に給紙され印刷が行われる。用紙
14の印刷が終了した部分は開口部16から筺体13の
外に押し出されていき、プリンタ6の印刷動作が終了し
た時、用紙14は図3で示す様な状態となる。プリンタ
6の印字動作終了後に制御基板15は、ステッピングモ
ータ7の回転方向を給紙時の回転方向と逆の方向に回転
する様にしてから、ステッピングモータ7にパルス電圧
を給紙時に加えた回数と同数だけ加える。搬送ローラ2
はステッピングモータ7の回転によって、図3の図示矢
印の方向に回転し、印刷が終わった用紙14を用紙給排
紙用開口部1から筺体13の外に排紙する。搬送ローラ
2が停止し排紙動作が終了した時の用紙14の状態は、
