Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively prevent generation of noise, by affixing a vibration- deadening material to a small head part which is a noise generating souce in an impact-type printer. CONSTITUTION:In the impact-type printer, a vibration-deadening material is affixed to the parts constituting noise sources, such as the gap between a printing head 4 and a carriage 5, a part or the entire part of a stopper 1 provided in the head 4, and a part or the entire part of the surface of the stopper 1 or the surface of the head 4, thereby effecting sound insulation. Accordingly, the noise level at the time of printing can be greatly lowered.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] The purpose of the present invention is to effectively reduce noise by attaching a soundproofing material to the head portion of impact printing machines such as printers and electric typewriters, which is the source of noise. This relates to a soundproofing method.

Conventionally, as a soundproofing measure for impact printing machines such as printers and electric typewriters, the method of attaching sound insulating or sound absorbing materials to the case of the machine has been carried out rather than taking measures against the source of the noise.

However, this method not only requires a lot of sound insulation and sound absorbing materials, but also has little effect, making it unsatisfactory as a soundproofing measure.

The present invention improves these drawbacks and achieves great effects by effectively attaching a vibration-proofing material to the small head portion that is the source of noise in impact printing machines. In the present invention, the term "vibration isolator" means a vibration isolator in a broad sense, and includes both so-called vibration dampers and vibration isolators in a narrow sense.

次に図面により本発明を更に詳しく説明する。Next, the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawings.

In FIG. 4, coil 9. When the excited wire 10 moves back and forth and prints, it generates a kilometer-sized vibration and generates noise. As a countermeasure for this noise, the present invention has been applied to the gap between the head A and the carriage 7 as shown in Fig. 3. By attaching the vibration isolating material used, it is possible to absorb impactful vibrations and reduce noise, and at the same time prevent deterioration of print quality due to vibrations.

Also, when printing, at the moment when the ribbon, paper, or platen is struck and returned, the coil part becomes a stopper due to the reaction of printing, the vibration of the coil, and the force of the spring.

Further, as shown in FIG. 6, by attaching the vibration isolating material used in the present invention to the front surface /'3 of the stopper //, it is possible to absorb the vibration caused by the impact and reduce the sound pressure level of the impact sound. This effect is the same even when a vibration isolating material is attached to the rear surface of the stopper.

Figures 7 and 8 show the i part of the head O/11° or the circumference 15° of the head O. This figure shows the area where the barrier material used in the present invention is attached, and these treatments can greatly reduce the noise level during printing. In the present invention, it is desirable to carry out soundproofing treatment all around the head as shown in Figures 3 and 5 to 8, but there are cases where only a part of the area can be soundproofed due to reasons such as not being able to grow gaps. The effect of the treatment is effective.
