Abstract

PURPOSE:To minimize an abrasion between wire and a wire guide caused by their sliding by impregnating organic lubricant such as metal soap composed of metal salt of higher fatty acid into the micropores of wire and a wire guide formed with porous ceramic. CONSTITUTION:A leaf spring 1 has one end fixed and the other end to which a tungsten wire 2 is fastened. The leaf spring 1 has an armature 3 fixed and the tip of wire is caused to protrude by sucking the armature 3 with a magnet 4, thus striking an ink ribbon 5 against paper 6 for printing. The middle part of the wire 2 is guided by a guide hole 7a of a wire guide 7 so that the wire tip comes to a stricking position accurately. The wire guide 7 is formed with a porous ceramic, in which micropores organic lubricant such as metal soap or ester of fatty acid is impregnated.

(Prior art) In a wire dot printer that prints by sliding a wire such as tungsten into a guide hole of a wire guide,
Abrasion of the wire guide by the wire changes the dimensions of the guide hole, resulting in a decrease in the clarity of the print. In order to reduce this abrasion, high hardness oxides such as alumina are used as the material for the wire guide. It is used. However, this material had the disadvantage that the wire guide itself was too hard, causing wire wear.

(Objective) An object of the present invention is to reduce the wear of the wire and the wire guide due to their sliding, and to extend the life of the wire dot printer.

(Embodiment) The figure shows an embodiment of the present invention, in which a wire 1 is fixed at one end with a plate spring, and a wire 2 made of tungsten is fixed to the other end. An armature 6 is fixed to the leaf spring 1,
By attracting this armature 3 with an electromagnet 4, the tip of the wire is made to protrude and the ink ribbon 5 is struck onto the paper sheet B to perform printing. On the other hand, the intermediate portion of the wire 2 is guided by a guide hole 7a of a wire guide 7 so that the tip of the wire reaches the striking position accurately. Although the wire guide 7 is shown as a single guide, it may be divided into a plurality of parts to guide the root, middle, tip, etc. of the wire separately. In any case, the wire guide 7 is made of porous ceramics, and its micropores are impregnated with an organic lubricant. This organic lubricant is
