The normal motor ON signal is given by the host computer that controls the floppy disk drive, is processed by the internal circuit of the floppy disk drive, and the motor ON signal is given to the DC servo motor control circuit to control the DC servo motor. The entrance to the circuit is a speed detection sensor that detects the rotational speed of the motor. The rotational speed of the motor detected by the sensor is compared with a value preset in a rotational speed setting block indicated by reference numeral 5, and if there is a difference between the set value and the actual rotational speed, a speed correction is performed.
