Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the wear-resistance of a flexible boot without imparing the stretchability thereof, by planting short fibers onto only crest parts of the outer peripheral surface of the flexible boot. CONSTITUTION:Only crest parts 22 of the outer peripheral surface of a flexible boot body 20 is subjected to a primer treatment. As to the treatment, an ultraviolet treating method is at first performed to the crest parts 22 which is then coated thereon with an adhesive 24, and short fibers 26 are planted to the crest parts 22 before the adhesive is hardened. Thereby, no abrasion is generated even after the use of the flexible boot according to the present invention for more than 500hr, which should be compared with conventional flexible boots which incurrs abration between the crest parts after the use of them for 25-30hr. Accordingly, the wear-resistance of the flexible boot may be enhanced without imparing the stretchability of the boot.
