Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable efficient dip painting by a simple method by placing a covering member having a cup shape on the non-painting section of a material to be painted of which the non-painting section is positioned at the top end and forming an air pocket in the covering member. CONSTITUTION:A material W to be painted is placed on a receiving table 1 fixed to the bottom end of a suspension means 2 in such a way that the non- painting section A thereof is positioned at the top end. A covering member 6 having a cup shape is placed on the section A and an air pocket 7 communicating with the outside is formed in the member 6. A vertical moving means mounted to the means 2 is then driven to descend the base 1 thereby dipping the material W together with the member 6 into a paint liquid L. The air in the air pocket 7 does not escape in this stage and therefore the paint is coated surely on the necessary section without intrusion of the liquid L into the air pocket.

I- When applying dip coating to a workpiece that has a non-painted area at one end of the substitute, it is necessary to mask the non-painted area, but it is necessary to mask the non-painted area to prevent the paint liquid from entering the non-painted area during painting. Painting efficiency is not good if it takes a lot of time and process.

FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a conventional coating method in which dip coating is performed while masking one end of the object W to be coated. In this method, a rubber ring 3 is blown onto one end of the object W to be coated, A cylindrical key 4 is fitted to the outside of the ring 3 so as to cover one end of the object W, thereby masking the non-coated portion A of the object W. After masking in this way, the object W to be coated is placed on the pedestal 1, and by operating the hanger 2 attached to the pedestal 1, the holder is placed inside the paint liquid stored in a container (not shown). The object W to be coated is soaked in water,
The coating is applied only to the coating range B of the object W to be coated.

However, with this method, it takes a long time to install and remove the 4-niar tab 4, and the efficiency of the painting work is poor. Moreover, the rubber ring 3 cannot withstand long-term use, and the ring 3 has to be replaced frequently. This will result in an increase in costs.

Figure 2 shows another conventional painting method, in which an organic solvent-based masking agent (Mel-+-1,
) 5 is applied 11T, the object W to be coated is dipped into the coating liquid to apply the coating L to a predetermined area. Then, after painting (the nosking agent 5 is peeled off, this method requires an organic solvent-based masking agent 5 to mask the non-painted area A.
Exhaust equipment must be installed due to the necessity of the work environment. Moreover, the work of peeling off the masking agent 5 is required, which impairs the efficiency of the painting work.

The present invention has been made by paying attention to the problem of the work technique mentioned above, and aims to efficiently perform dip coating. a step of placing a cup-shaped covering member on the non-coated region to form an air pocket communicating with the outside in the covering member; This is a dip coating method comprising the step of soaking the object to be coated together with the covering member in a coating 1'+1 solution applied to the coating 4i in a state where the covering member is positioned above.

次に第3図に示す本発明の一実施例に基づいて説明する
Next, an explanation will be given based on an embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG.

First, as shown in FIG. 3 (Δ), the object W to be coated is placed on the pedestal 1 fixed to the downward slope of the hanger 2 so that the non-coated area A is located at the upper end. Furthermore, a cup-shaped cover member 6 is placed on the non-coating area located at the upper end of the object W to be coated, as shown in FIG. form.

Next, as shown in FIG. 3(C), by driving the vertical moving means (not shown) attached to the hanging shell 2, the receiver moves down the table 1 and carries it together with the object W@covering member 6. Dip into the paint liquid while holding it in the upper position. During this doubuke process, the air in the air pocket 7 does not escape, so 1 m of paint does not enter into the air pocket 7. Then, the weight of the cover member is set so that the cover member 6 does not float due to the floating horns in the air pocket 7.

However, from the state not shown in Figure 3(C), the
If you avoid this for one day, you can reliably apply paint to other parts without staining unpainted parts. Incidentally, after the cover member 6 is placed on the object W to be coated, the object W to be coated may be supported by the support 1.

As described above, according to the present invention, the structure is such that an object to be coated having a non-coated area is supported such that the non-coated area is placed lfl on the upper end, and a cup-shaped covering member is provided on the non-coated area. a step of forming an air pocket communicating with the outside in the covering member by placing the above-mentioned? Since the immersion coating method includes the steps of immersing the object to be coated together with the covering member in the paint liquid applied to the IU coating, the covering member is not coated. Placed on the part J
It is possible to mask the desired area with a single mask, and it becomes possible to significantly shorten the time required for covering the mask. Moreover, there is no need to use a conventional solvent, and therefore no exhaust system is required.
