Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the insertion of a wire electrode, by decreasing the thickness of wire electrode guides, placing them near a workpiece and providing machining liquid outlet ports around guide elements. CONSTITUTION:An electricity feed plate 12 and a guide 11 are provided on the holder B of a wire electrode guide mechanism. The guide 11 includes an element with a small thickness of about 5mm.. Outlet ports 11a for an electric discharge machining liquid are provided around the element of the guide 11. A lid 14 is mounted on the holder 13 so that a water reservoir 16 is defined.
