Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a pile of paper such as envelopes different in height in front and the rear feedable into a printing machine automatically in a smooth manner, by detecting the height of piled paper on a liftable paper mount, while rotating the paper mount down to a proper position for paper feeding centering on the pivot end center. CONSTITUTION:When a piled paper group P is started to be fed to a printing machine from the topper paper in regular sequence, a paper feed mount A is continuously going upward by means of a lift mechanism B, and even if a sheet of paper P coming up to the topmost position in order is in the spaceified height at its front end side, its rear end side amounts to a higher level than the front end side. Thereupon, a sensor 8 makes contact with the rear end side of the paper P and a detection signal F out of the sensor 8 is fed to a solenoid 61, causing the solenoid 61 to operate, then rotatong a winding drum 55 and rewinding a rope 7, therefore the reared side on the paper mount 3 is lowdered down to some extent whereby the height of the topmost paper group P is trued up in an optimum level for both front and rear sides and, in time of completion, the paper mount 3 is controlled in its own attitude to come into horizontality.

Conventionally, in order to automatically and continuously feed sheets of paper that have different front and back heights when stacked, such as envelopes, to a printing machine, the highest-ranking envelope was always placed in the printer's paper pick-up position. To ensure that it is supplied at the appropriate front and back height relative to the filling part,
It has been practiced to insert a plurality of trtr+ wedge-shaped suzuzas between stacked envelopes, but this method has the disadvantage of being unreasonable and requiring a lot of manpower.

This is not reasonable at present because if the paper to be fed is different in height before and after it, it will not be possible to feed the paper properly and smoothly, causing printing and paper feeding troubles. Even though it is known that the spacer is lacking in performance and labor saving, the wedge-shaped spacer is attached to stacked papers of different tastes, and the spacer is removed depending on the paper supply condition. This is because there is no way to prevent trouble from occurring.

The present invention d° In view of the above-mentioned cross-shaped paper supply operation of stacked sheets having different heights at the front and back, even when such sheets are stacked, the front and back at the top of the stacked sheets to be fed are different. The purpose of this device is to provide an automatic paper feed device for printing machines, etc. that can automatically adjust the height of the paper to an appropriate height at the same time as the paper feed operation. 11 is attached to a sheet feed tray of a sheet feeding device which stacks and places sheets of paper and moves them upward to sequentially feed the sheets of paper from above to a machine such as a printing press.
i! A paper table having one end in the longitudinal direction pivotally connected via an I-frame or the like, and a lift part by means of a spring or the like provided on the other end, is capable of swinging around the pivot part and has the function of the lift part. Under normal conditions, the paper table is placed in a state where it is lifted from the other end side of the paper table, or from the pivot joint part. In addition to providing a lowering mechanism that rotates and lowers around the center,
A gold film detector is provided on the top side of the other end of the paper table to detect the height of the stacked paper by coming into contact with the other end of the top surface of the stacked paper, and the paper feed table moves upward when feeding the paper. This is characterized in that the quality of the other end 1111 of the sheet rising is detected by the detector, and the lowering mechanism of the sheet table is operated to rotate and lower the sheet table.

Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Reference numeral A denotes a paper feed table, which is moved up and down by a lift mechanism B such as a hydraulic cylinder. In a printing press, normally sheets to be printed are stacked and placed on the lift mechanism B. The upper surface of the stacked paper is continuously raised a small amount at a time so that the upper surface of the stack is always aligned horizontally with the paper intake section of the printing machine. However, with this type of paper feeding device, it is difficult to feed sheets that have different heights on the front and back or on the left and right when stacked like envelopes to the receiving section in an appropriate, that is, horizontal, orientation. As stated above. Therefore, the present invention has constructed a paper feeding device that does not have such drawbacks as follows.

1 is a plate-shaped base plate detachably formed on the paper feed tray A, 2, 2 is a side frame erected at the front end of the base plate 1 (on the right side of the figure), and 6 is the side frame. It is a paper tray whose front end is pivotally connected to the frame 2 via a shaft 61, and is formed to be slightly smaller than the paper feed tray A. Reference numeral 4 denotes a compression spring disposed halfway down the lengthwise direction of the paper table B, and is installed between the lower surface of the paper table 6 and a support portion 21a formed by bending the upper part of the side frame 21 inward. However, a force in the upward rotation direction is always applied to the paper tray B, and in this embodiment, the spring 4 forms a lift portion. The lift portion may be formed by using a hydraulic cylinder instead of the spring 4, or by using a spring or a hydraulic cylinder as an operating source via an appropriate link mechanism.

Reference numeral 5 denotes a side frame 2 erected on the rear end (left side in the figure) of the base plate 1.
2. In the hoisting mechanism provided in 22, the operation handle 5 is attached to one end via the il'llll receiver 51 which has a built-in one-way clutch capable of rotating only in the counterclockwise η1° direction and the receiving side 1 receiver 52.
A hoisting drum 55 is installed on the shaft 54.
It is constructed by attaching an operating lever 56 equipped with a ratchet that rotates idly in both directions. Therefore, the hoisting drum 55 rotates integrally with the shaft 54 only in the counterclockwise direction due to the reciprocating movement of the operating lever b6. In this embodiment, the drum 55 is frictionally attached to the shaft 54, and rotates integrally with the shaft 54 at this M bA force.
If a rotational force greater than the frictional force is applied to the drum 55 while the rotation of the drum 4 is blocked, the drum 55 will idle. 6 is a solenoid 61 having an actuation f'f' 62 within the swinging plane of the actuation lever 56 and having the tip of the rod 62 pivoted to the lower end of the lever 56; The hoisting mechanism 5 includes a tension spring 64 stretched between the lower end of the lever 62 and the rear end side of the base plate 1 so as to act in the direction of pulling out the rod 62 when placed on the side where the lever 62 is pulled out. It is a drive mechanism.

That is, in the figure, when the solenoid 61 is activated and the operating lever 56 is reciprocated, the winding drum 55 is rotated counterclockwise to wind up the rope 7, so that the paper table 6 is moved by the compression spring 4. It rotates F around the shaft 61 against the repelling force of .

In the above embodiment, the lowering mechanism of the paper tray B is composed of the hoisting mechanism 5, the drive mechanism 6 using the solenoid 61 as a living body, and the cable 7, but for example, the shaft 54 can be directly rotated by a motor or the like as appropriate. Of course, the lowering mechanism may be constructed by incorporating a hydraulic cylinder or the like into the link mechanism as appropriate.

When stacked in the same direction like envelopes, paper groups P with different stacking heights on the front and rear or left and right sides are stacked with the side with the smaller stacking height placed at the rear end 1+11 of the paper tray 6 (left side in the figure). Place it on paper stand B. In this state, the paper group P of Koishi Itsukuda of j9 size placed at the rear end 1i11 of the paper table 6 is in a nearly horizontal state, since it is at a position closer to the rear end or the front end of the paper table 6. Note that the orientation of the top surface is not appropriate.

When the paper group P is in the upper iC state, the paper group P is sequentially fed to the printing machine from the top, and the paper feed tray A is continuously raised by its lift mechanism B as the paper is fed. Here, since each of the sheets P is thick at its leading edge 1Illll (right side in the figure) and thin at its trailing edge 11111,
If the orientation of the paper table 6 remains as it was initially set, the paper P that comes out to the top one by one due to the action of the lift mechanism B will gradually shift to the rear or front end even if it is positioned at the front end or at a predetermined height. It will occupy a higher position than the side. However, even in this case, when the height sensor 8 of the present invention comes into contact with the rear end side of the paper P, the detection signal F is supplied from the sensor 8 to the solenoid 61, and the solenoid 61 is activated. By rotating the hoisting drum 55 and winding the rope 7, the height of the rear end side of the paper table 6 is lowered, and the height of the topmost sheet group P can be adjusted to the optimal position. .

In this way, as the paper P is fed, the entire device of the present invention moves upward as the paper feed table A rises, and
The rear end side of the paper tray 6 is gradually lowered, and when paper feeding is finished, the paper tray 6 itself, which was originally tilted with the rear end side at the top, is controlled to be horizontal in the front and back direction. be.

The present invention is based on the above-mentioned printing machine, and is capable of automatically unloading paper such as envelopes, which have different heights at the front and back when loaded onto the IK, to an appropriate height in the front and back direction. It is convenient because it can eliminate the problem of conventional paper feeding of this type, and the configuration of this paper feeding device is extremely simple. Since it can be installed and removed later on, it is extremely useful as an auxiliary device for conventional paper feeding devices.
