Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit to operate an air conditioner efficiently without using big ventilating energy by a method wherein a main duct, connected to the air conditioner, is provided with a plurality of branched ducts in parallel to each other and respective blow-off ducts are provided with dampers opened and closed separately with predetermined frequencies. CONSTITUTION:The damper 7 is consisting of principal parts such as a fixed louver 8, fixed to the internal wall surfaces of the blow-off ducts 5a-5f, 6a-6f, a rotary louver 9, located on the same center line along the surface of the fixed louver 8 and opening and closing the opening of the vixed louver 8, and a motor 10, rotating the rotary louver continuously with a predetermined speed. According to this method, the timing of opening and closing of the dampers 7 for respective blow-off ducts 5a-5f, 6a-6f in each branched ducts 3, 4 may be set so as to be opened and closed alternately, for example, therefore, the blow-off ducts 5a-5f, 6a-6f may be divided into two groups to effect the pulsation air- conditioning. In this case, the total flow amount of the air-conditioning air, blown off from respetive blow-off ducts 5a-5f, 6a-6f, is made constant at all times and it coincides with the capacity of the air conditioner 1 or the rating flow amount thereof.

Conventionally, Subonoto air conditioning systems blow air to workers at the air volume and speed originally designed. Therefore, when workers are constantly moving around, such as on an assembly line, they feel drafts of cold and hot air on their body surfaces as they move; however, when workers work in almost the same place, such as on an assembly line, air conditioning is blown onto them. The air conditioning effect was small compared to the amount of energy used to get the body used to the airflow. For this reason, some air conditioners are equipped with a pulsating flow distributor, and a plurality of branch ducts are connected to the pulsating flow distributor to perform air conditioning that gives the user a feeling of cooling and heating drafts. In this case, the installation of a pulsating flow distributor and a branch duct of a diameter corresponding to the capacity of the air conditioner are required, which tends to increase the cost.

In view of the above-mentioned reasons, the purpose of this invention was to make the air conditioner work efficiently without using a large amount of air blowing energy, so that workers could feel the draft of cooling and heating, and without using a pulsating flow regulator. It is also an object of the present invention to provide a pulsating flow air conditioning system in which the diameter of a branch duct can be reduced.

The feature of this invention is that multiple branch ducts are installed in parallel to the main duct connected to the air conditioner, and dampers are installed in the multiple outlet ducts of each of these branch ducts to open and close individually at predetermined intervals. It is in the place where it is placed.

In Fig. 1, an air conditioner 1 that supplies conditioned air is connected to a main duct 2 having a diameter corresponding to the capacity of the air conditioner. Branch ducts 3.4 are arranged in parallel. These branch ducts 3, 4 have a smaller diameter than the main duct 2. For example, when two branch ducts 3.4 are installed in parallel, the cross-sectional area of the air passage of each branch duct 3.2-4 is smaller than that of the main duct. It is set to about 2.

a to 5 f t 6 a to 6 f are disposed, and dampers 7 that open and close individually at predetermined intervals are disposed in each of these blow-off ducts 5 a to 5 f, 6 a to 6 f. In this embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the damper 7 includes a fixed louver 8 fixed to the inner circumferential wall surface of the blowout ducts 5a to 5f+6a to 6f, and a plate surface of the fixed louver 8. The rotary louver 9 is superimposed on the same center along the same axis and opens and closes the opening of the fixed louver 8, and the motor 0 continuously rotates the rotary louver 9 at a predetermined speed. Further, the motor 10 is supported by a support bar 11 that forms a rest with the fixed louver 8, and the rotating louver 9 is attached to the rotating shaft 10a of the motor 10.

In the above configuration, by setting the opening/closing timing of the damper 7 of each outlet duct (5a to 5f, 6a to 6f) in each branch duct 3, 4 to be alternately opened and closed, for example, every other one, the outlet duct can be adjusted. } 5a to 5f and 6a to 6f can be divided into two groups to perform pulsating flow air conditioning (air conditioning with a cool/hot draft feel). (See FIG. 4) At this time, the total volume of the conditioned air blown out from each of the blow-off ducts 5a to 5f, 6a to 6f is always constant and matches the capacity of the air conditioner 1, that is, the rated air volume.

Furthermore, each outlet duct in each branch duct 3, 4}5a
~5f+ It is also possible to open and close the dampers 7 of 6a to 6f every few dampers and at predetermined time intervals. Further, as shown in FIG. 1, when there are many blow-off ducts, it is not necessary to match the opening and closing cycles of the blow-off ducts, and substantially the same pulsating flow blowing effect can be obtained even if the blow-off ducts are opened and closed arbitrarily.

In the above embodiment, the damper 7 is replaced by the fixed louver 8.
Although the structure is mainly composed of the rotating louver 9 and the motor 10, the damper is not limited thereto, and may be a knock-fly type damper that is continuously rotated in the opening/closing direction by a motor or the like.

Therefore, since each branch duct is continuously supplied with conditioned air from the air conditioner, the diameter of the branch duct can be reduced, unlike the conventional system using a pulsating flow distributor. Efficient pulsating air conditioning can be performed at low cost, and is extremely effective in terms of energy saving. Moreover, the structure in which a damper is provided in each blow-off duct has the advantage that it is possible to easily cope with the expansion of air-conditioned space.
