In general, in the image pickup tube of a television camera, the imaging characteristics deteriorate if there is incident light when the beam current to the image pickup tube's target is turned off. If you leave the iris closed and then manually open the lens iris after a certain period of time after turning on the camera power, and conversely, when turning off the camera power, close the lens iris manually before turning off the camera power. there was.

Hereinafter, details of the present invention will be explained with reference to figures showing examples. In the circuit diagram shown in Figure 1, the input IN is given a video signal from the image pickup tube, and this is sent from the output OT to the existing lens iris control circuit IC, and the camera power supply P2 is on. Now, lens iris control circuit I
C opens and closes the lens iris according to the level of the video signal, and automatically controls the amount of light incident on the image pickup tube. The holding voltage V is given from a holding power source P using a battery separate from the camera power source P2 or a power source from a different system,
Bias voltage V2, V3 when camera power P2 is off
disappears, a voltage approximately equal to the holding voltage V1 is applied to the gate of the field effect transistor (hereinafter referred to as FET) Q1 via the resistor R, and the FET Q1 is turned on, with one end connected to the input 1N. At the same time, the same FE is connected to the other end.
The capacitor C to which the holding power supply P1 is applied is charged from the holding voltage V1 via TQl, and the terminal voltage of the capacitor C is kept approximately at the value of the holding voltage V1.

Therefore, this terminal voltage is applied to the gate of FETQ2 that constitutes the source follower circuit together with the bias resistor R3, and the source voltage of FETQ2 is approximately equal to the holding voltage V.
The voltage increases to a value of 1, and this becomes the voltage VO of the output 0T.

This is the output voltage V shown in FIG. This is the state to the left of time t1 in the changing situation of
The lens iris control circuit 1C receives a voltage equal to
When the input voltage exceeds Va in Figure 2, the lens iris closes.
Since the lens iris operates in the direction of opening when the input voltage is below a, the lens iris is completely closed when the input voltage is approximately equal to the holding voltage V1, and light incident on the imaging tube is blocked. Next, when the camera power supply P2 is turned on at time t1 in FIG. 2, the bias voltages V2 and V
Due to the occurrence of 3, the gate voltage of FETQl decreases to a voltage determined by a constant voltage element CV using a constant voltage diode, etc., and FETQ1 is turned off, so that capacitor C;
The charge is discharged through the resistor R3 for setting the discharge time, and is reduced to the value of the bias voltage V3.

Therefore, the source voltage of FETQ2 also becomes approximately the value of bias voltage V3, but after an elapsed time according to the time constant determined by resistor R2 and capacitor C, it becomes Va at point 3 T2, and this value becomes Va. Time lens iris control circuit 1C
is the output voltage V after time T2 with the lens iris open. As the level of the video signal S decreases, the opening and closing of the lens iris is controlled in accordance with the level of the video signal S.
.. 1 Also, when camera power P2 is turned off at time T3, bias voltages V2 and V3
Since FETQl is turned on due to the disappearance of V, the holding voltage V
1, the capacitor C is charged, and its terminal voltage quickly rises to the voltage V at the output 0T. By making the value Va or more, the lens iris control circuit 1C closes the lens iris and blocks incident light to the image pickup tube. In other words, the switching circuit using FETQl connects the camera's power supply P.
The holding voltage V1 is applied to the capacitor C through the same circuit.
The terminal voltage of capacitor C changes according to a predetermined elapsed time, and based on this terminal voltage change, a buffer circuit inserted between the other end of capacitor C by FET Q2 and the lens iris control circuit turns on camera power P2. The input voltage of the lens iris control circuit 1C is changed so that the lens iris is opened when the power supply P2 is turned off, and the lens iris is closed when the power supply P2 is off.

Therefore, the lens iris does not open immediately when the camera power source P2 is turned on, but opens only after an elapsed time between time t1 and T2 in FIG.
Incident light is applied after the beam current of the image pickup tube has sufficiently passed. Furthermore, when the camera power supply P2 is turned off, the lens iris is immediately closed, completely and automatically preventing characteristic deterioration of the image pickup tube. In addition, lens iris control circuit 1C
The power may be supplied from the holding power supply P1, but in addition to this,
Assuming that the lens iris closes only for a certain period of time after the camera power supply P2 is turned off, and then maintains this state even if the power is turned off, a large capacity capacitor is inserted on the power supply side of the lens iris control circuit 1C. Just do it. It goes without saying that the circuit shown in FIG. 1 can be modified in various ways, and various parts and configurations can be used depending on the conditions. As is clear from the above explanation, according to the present invention, the lens iris is automatically opened and closed when the camera power is turned on and off, and deterioration of the characteristics of the image pickup tube is completely prevented. At the same time, since a small current capacity is sufficient as a holding power source, it is possible to use batteries, etc., and the purpose can be achieved at low cost, as well as simplifying the handling of television cameras and extending the life of image pickup tubes. has been realized and a great effect can be obtained in various television cameras.
