This method is characterized by heating the surface of the steel plate into filaments with a hand-held heating torch to generate thermal stress, and then rapidly cooling the steel plate with water cooling etc. to cause it to shrink and deform, thereby removing distortion and bending. However, since it is a manual operation, it is inefficient and physically tiring.
