Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of recording and reproducing by forming a closed magnetic path among a magnetic tape running on the outside circumference of a rotary drum, the rotary drum, and magnetic poles to transmit signals. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic tape consists of a vertical recordong film 2, a horizontal recording film 7, and a base 3. A fixed drum 11 has a helical control step part 12 on the outside circumference, and a rotary drum 14 faces the fixed drum 11 with a slight gap 13 between them and consists of high-permeability materials. A magnetic pole 15 has a coil part 16 in a part, and one end is connected magnetically to the rotary drum 14, and the other end is projected in the outside circumferential direction of the rotary drum 14.

16に印加される信号電流により磁界が破線のように閉
ループを形成し磁束集中の最も大きい磁極15にて磁気
テープ1の垂直記録膜2に信号磁区が形成される。

パターンによるエツチング加工等の利用にて行えるため
、磁極の取付は精度の向上、従来のヘノドベース不要等
に伴う加工、組立性の向上、コストダウンがはかれる等
、その実用的効果は犬なるものである。
