Abstract

PURPOSE:To receive a signal specific to a mobile station transmitted from the mobile station at a fixed station in the optimum state, by changing the amplification factor of a transmitted wave and a transmission frequency of the mobile station by a command signal from a CPU of the fixed station. CONSTITUTION:The mobile station 1 amplifies a carrier wave modulated with a code signal 3 specific to the mobile station, then continues transmission at all times. The fixed station 11 discriminates correctness/incorrectness of a code signal specific to the mobile station received at a CPU, and when a receiving signal is in failure, the command signal is transmitted to the mobile station so as to change automatically the carrier frequency and the amplification factor of the mobile station and to switch receiving antennas plurally arranged to the fixed station. In such a way, the mobile station is carried by, e.g., a personnel after the boarding processes are finished and waiting for the boarding at an airport. When the signal is received normally at the fixed station, it is regarded that a person carrying the mobile station exists within a prescribed range, and the communication is attained with a speaker or a telephone set near the mobile station.

(b) Background of the Invention For example, after a person completes boarding procedures at an airport, there is a certain amount of time before the person actually boards the airplane. During this blank time, a small number of people shop, eat,
They will be dispersed to various locations within the large airport. After a while, when the boarding time approached, airport officials called out through loudspeakers installed in various places to get the dispersed people to gather in one place, and if they still did not gather, the airport staff called out to a wide range of people. It was generally acknowledged that it required a great deal of effort, such as running around the airport. Also, for example, when contacting repair vehicles scattered on a wide runway, there are problems such as where the repair vehicles are currently located and how to establish normal radio contact. This was an issue that required immediate resolution.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present inventors came up with the following idea. In other words, people scattered across a wide area,
Have each person carry a transmitter (mobile station) in advance before dispersing. Each mobile station is assigned a unique signal (for example, a code) and continues to transmit this signal at all times. On the other hand, a fixed station is provided in the center to receive the signal. In order to receive this signal normally, the transmitter is also equipped with a receiving function, and when the above received signal is abnormal, the fixed station gives a feedback signal to the mobile station, so that the fixed station can correctly receive the unique signal of the mobile station. The mobile station and the fixed station mutually adjust transmission and reception until reception is possible. As a result, when the mobile station and the fixed station are in a normal transmitting/receiving state, they can communicate with each other by radio communication or other means. This invention was completed based on the above background and idea.

(d) Structure of the invention This invention can be summarized as follows. The mobile station generates an assigned unique signal, modulates a carrier wave generated by an oscillator with this unique signal, amplifies it with an amplifier circuit, and then transmits it through a transmitting antenna. The fixed station receives the signal using one of a plurality of receiving antennas arranged in a wide area, and reproduces the unique signal.

If the transmission/reception conditions are poor, this signal becomes an abnormal signal due to noise etc. on the way. On the fixed station side, the CPU determines whether this signal is correct or not, and if the signal is normal, the transmission/reception status is treated as normal, and the mobile station is contacted by radio or by a speaker, telephone, etc. near the mobile station. You can contact mobile stations. Furthermore, if the decoded signal is abnormal, it is determined that the transmission and reception conditions are poor, and the transmission and reception conditions are optimized and controlled. There are eight possible causes of abnormal signals:

In the case of (2), a signal is transmitted from a transmitting antenna located at a fixed station, and a command is directly sent to the mobile station via a receiving antenna attached to the mobile station to change the frequency or amplification degree. In addition, (in the case of C1, the reception antenna of the fixed station is directly switched. In this way, the frequency and amplification of the carrier wave at the mobile station are optimized, and the reception antenna at the fixed station is switched to the optimum one, and the reception antenna of the mobile station is This optimizes transmission and reception between the station and the fixed station.

A modulator 4 has a function of modulating the carrier wave generated by the oscillator with the code signal generated by the code generator 3. 5 is a power amplification circuit that amplifies a carrier wave (modulated wave) modulated by a signal until it can be transmitted as a radio wave by a transmitting antenna 6. A receiving antenna 7 is provided to provide the mobile station 1 with a receiving function. As will be described later, a command signal transmitted from a fixed station is received by the receiving antenna 7. This received signal is transferred to a high frequency amplification circuit 8.
The command signal component is amplified by the carrier wave and demodulated by the demodulator 9 to separate and reproduce the command signal component from the carrier wave. The configuration is such that two types of switching control can be performed using this command signal. One is that the amplification degree of the power amplifier circuit 5 can be switched, for example, in m stages via the amplification degree switching circuit 10. Generally, the degree of amplification is gradually switched from small to large. Second, when the frequency of the carrier wave transmitted from the mobile station 1 is not appropriate, the oscillator switching circuit 2 controls switching so that another oscillator is selected.

The receiving antennas AN1 to ANt2 are arranged as shown in FIG. For example, assuming that the entire area in FIG. 2 represents the entire airport, the airport is divided into four areas and receiving antennas ANl-AN are placed in each area. The transmitting antenna 15 is centrally located and can accurately transmit command signals to mobile stations throughout the airport. Each receiving antenna AN, ~
A Ne can accurately receive signals from mobile stations if there is a mobile station within the area where it is located, but cannot accurately receive signals from mobile stations in other areas. Suppose it is a thing. As mentioned above, if the signal transmitted by the mobile station is (10001001), if it is emitted from within its own area, it will be (10001001).
However, if the signal is emitted from another area, the parity pit (10001000) will be received as 0 due to noise or the like. Therefore, in this case, CP [J gives an antenna switching signal as a command signal to the antenna switching circuit] 2, the receiving antennas are switched one after another, and if the mobile station is within the control area of the switched receiving antenna, The received signal from this receiving antenna is
is correct for the first time (10001001), and CPI
I determines that this is a normal transmission/reception state. In FIG. 2, since the mobile station 1 exists within the area of the receiving antenna AN, , normal transmission and reception conditions are achieved only when the antenna switching circuit 12 selects AN, . Therefore, since it is known that the mobile station exists in the first area, it is possible to accurately communicate to the mobile station to return to a predetermined position, for example, through a speaker installed in the first area. .

Although the antenna switching signal has been described above as a command signal, the cause of the abnormality in the received signal may exist in the mobile station itself. If the amplification degree is low or the carrier frequency from the mobile station is inappropriate, even if the mobile station is within the area of the selected receiving antenna of the fixed station 11, accurate signals cannot be received. Therefore, in this case the CPU
transmits an oscillator switching signal or an amplification switching signal to the mobile station through the transmitting antenna 15. In response to this command signal, in the mobile station 1, the oscillator switching circuit 2 or the amplification switching circuit IO switches and operates, thereby transmitting the modified signal to the CPU.
will judge whether it is right or wrong again. Through this process, the optimum oscillator or amplification degree is selected for the mobile station I, and the receiving antenna that dominates the area where the mobile station is located is selected for the fixed station. Once the transmission and reception conditions have been optimized, a predetermined message may be transmitted to the mobile station in the same manner as described above.
