Abstract

PURPOSE:To roll over easily and safely a large-sized top mold upside down in the stage of rolling over the upper casting mold and superposing the same on a bottom casting mold by setting the top casting mold in a freely rollable cylindrical frame and rotating the same on rollers. CONSTITUTION:A top casting mold W to be rolled over upside down is moved onto a conveyor 3 in a cylindrical frame 1 by means of a conveyor 7. An actuator 4a is contracted to lower the conveyor 5 until the conveyor contacts with the top surface of the mold W. The frame 1 is turned in this state on rollers 2 and is rolled over vertically, by which the mold W is rolled over upside down and thereafter the actuator 4a is again extended to lower the conveyor 5 to make the height thereof flush with the conveyor 8. The rolled over mold W is transferred onto the conveyor 8 and is transferred to a stage for combining the same with the bottom casting mold.
