Scanning devices that rotate and scan the recording paper fed out from a roll paper while sequentially converting it from a flat surface to an arc shape with an axis in the feeding direction are also widely used, but it is difficult to achieve sub-scanning accuracy, and paper There are drawbacks such as the need to lengthen the paper travel path in order to smoothly convert the paper into an arc shape, and the paper to be held inaccurately. Further, a scanning device has been proposed in which the inner surface of the paper is scanned by holding the paper in an arcuate shape having an axis perpendicular to the direction in which the paper is fed out, but this method has had problems in holding the paper.

That is, it has been difficult to securely hold the paper without interfering with the main scanning means or the paper feeding operation in the sub-scanning direction. In order to eliminate these drawbacks, Utility Model Application No. 48-31917
As described in the publication, recording paper is fed from a direction perpendicular to the sub-scanning direction into the gap between a cylindrical outer guide and an inner guide arranged concentrically, rolled into a cylindrical shape, and then cut. , one has been proposed in which scanning is performed after feeding the paper to the main scanning means in the sub-scanning direction. However, such a device requires a mechanism to feed the recording paper in the sub-scanning direction in addition to a mechanism that feeds the recording paper in a direction perpendicular to the sub-scanning direction, which makes the recording paper feeding mechanism extremely complicated and the recording paper feeding position Since the scanning position and the scanning position are separated in the sub-scanning direction, the dimension in the sub-scanning direction becomes long and the entire apparatus becomes large. Furthermore, there has been no prior art that takes into account the ability to reliably hold the paper during scanning and also to reliably feed the paper to another processing device, such as a development processing device, at the end of scanning. There are also examples where paper is held by vacuum suction,
As the scanning device becomes larger, there are drawbacks such as generation of noise. An object of the present invention is to feed and cut a roll of recording paper in a direction perpendicular to the sub-scanning direction, to securely hold it while scanning its arcuate inner surface, and to reliably feed the recording paper after scanning is completed. It is an object of the present invention to provide a facsimile scanning device that is simple in construction and small in size. The present invention has a substantially semi-circular inner surface with an axis extending in the sub-scanning direction, and a sub-scanning moving stage that moves in the sub-scanning direction, and a roll-like structure having an axis extending in the sub-scanning direction. A pair of paper feed rollers that sandwich the recording paper and feed the paper from a direction perpendicular to the sub-scanning direction along the semicircular inner surface of the sub-scanning movable base, and a pair of paper feed rollers that are provided between the paper feed rollers and the sub-scanning movable base. a cutter for cutting the recording paper in the sub-scanning direction; and a main scanning means for scanning the recording paper held on the semicircular inner surface of the sub-scanning movable table in the main scanning direction perpendicular to the sub-scanning direction. In a facsimile scanning device, the facsimile scanning device moves in the sub-scanning direction together with the sub-scanning movable table, acts as a paper guide when feeding the recording paper to the sub-scanning movable table, and moves the recording paper during scanning. A recording paper guide/pressing plate held on a semi-circular inner surface is disposed at least at the upstream end when viewed in the sub-scanning direction, and moves in the sub-scanning direction together with the sub-scanning movable table and is attached to the paper feed roller. Therefore, a pair of paper feed rollers that sandwich the leading edge of the recording paper fed to the sub-scanning movable table and send it out from the sub-scanning movable table after the scanning is completed are arranged so as to face the paper feed rollers with respect to the sub-scanning movable table. A recording paper surface holding mechanism is disposed near the main scanning means to hold the recording paper in pressure contact with the inner surface of the sub-scanning movable table near the main scanning means during scanning. When feeding the recording paper along the arcuate inner surface and when feeding the recording paper from the sub-scanning moving stage after scanning, the recording paper guide/pressing plate and the recording paper surface holding mechanism are separated from the semicircular inner surface while scanning is being performed. The recording paper guide/pressing plate and the recording paper surface holding mechanism are configured to be brought into pressure contact with a semicircular arcuate inner surface.

Place the cutter 5 immediately after the cutter 3, and place the recording paper 1 on the cutter 5.
Then, it is sent to a table 6 that moves in the sub-scanning direction and has a semi-circular inner surface having a circumferential length equal to the main scanning length and an axial length longer than the sub-scanning length. This sub-scanning moving table 6 is supported by a pair of guide rods 7 and 8 so as to be movable in the axial direction of its arc, and is moved in this direction by a feed screw 9 and a motor 10 to perform sub-scanning. It's starting to become easier. The sub-scanning movable stage 6 has recording paper guide and press plates 11 and 12 attached to both sides thereof when viewed in the direction of movement thereof. These recording paper guides and holding plates 11
, 12 are configured in an arc shape corresponding to the circular arc surface of the sub-scanning movable base 6, and have a first position slightly spaced from the inner surface of the movable base 6 and a second position in pressure contact with the inner surface of the movable base 6. ing. The movable table 6 is further provided with a pair of paper feed rollers 13 and 14, one of which is rotated by a motor 15. A main scanning rotary disk 16 is provided which rotates around the center of the arc of the sub-scanning movable table 6.

Initially, the leading edge of the recording paper 1 is at the position of the cutter 5, and there is no recording paper on the sub-scanning movable table 6. In this state, the recording paper guide/press plates 11 and 12 occupy the first position away from the inner surface of the moving table 6, and the elastic body 21 of the recording paper surface holding mechanism is also at the position of the hook 1 separated from the inner surface of the moving table 6. occupies . Further, the paper feed rollers 13 and 14 are spaced apart from each other. Based on the paper feed command, the motor 4 is energized, the paper feed rollers 2 and 3 are rotated, and the recording paper 1 is sent to the inner surface of the movable table 6 through the cutter 5. The recording paper 1 is guided by recording paper guide/press plates 11 and 12, and is smoothly fed to reach paper feed rollers 13 and 14. When an appropriate detection device detects that the leading edge of the recording paper 1 has reached the paper feed rollers 13 and 14, the paper feed motor 4 is deenergized, the rotation of the paper feed rollers 2 and 3 is stopped, and at the same time the paper feed motor 4 is stopped. 5
to cut the recording paper 1. Further, the paper feed rollers 13 and 14 are pressed against each other. Next, the paper feed motor 15 is energized for a predetermined period of time, the paper feed rollers 13 and 14 are rotated by a certain amount, and the recording paper 1 is further fed until the trailing edge reaches the cutter 5.
This prevents the rear end of the recording paper 1 from sliding on the surface of the cutter 5 when the movable stage 6 moves in the sub-scanning direction, which will be described later. Next, the recording paper guide/pressing plate 11,
12 is brought into pressure contact with the inner surface of the movable table 6 via the recording paper 1, and at the same time, the recording paper surface holding mechanism is operated, and the elastic body 21 is brought into contact with the inner surface of the movable table 6 via the recording paper 1. The main scanning motor 19 is energized to rotate the rotary disk 16 at a predetermined speed, and the sub-scanning motor 10 is energized to move the movable table 6 in the sub-scanning direction at a predetermined speed. Recording is performed on the recording paper 1 in this manner. At this time, the recording paper roll, paper feed rollers 2 and 3, and cutter 5 do not move in the sub-scanning direction but remain at fixed positions. Further, since the elastic body 21 of the recording paper surface holding mechanism also remains at a fixed position, the recording paper held on the movable base 6 slides on the elastic body 21 as the movable base 6 moves in the sub-scanning direction. As a result, the recording paper is brought into close contact with the arc-shaped inner surface of the movable table 6, and immediately after that, the recording paper
6, the distance between the recording paper and the rotating disk 16 is always maintained at a specified value. The moving table 6 is moved in the opposite direction based on a signal obtained by detecting that the sub-scanning moving table 6 has moved a specified distance and has reached a predetermined position, or a signal indicating that transmission of one sheet of original has been completed. and return it to its original position.

At this time, since scanning has ended, the main scanning motor 19 can be deenergized. Further, the speed of this return movement can be made faster than the movement speed during scanning. Mobile platform 6
After returning to the initial position, the recording paper guide/pressing plate 11,
12 is moved to a first position away from the inner surface of the movable table 6, and the elastic body 21 of the recording paper surface holding mechanism is also separated from the inner surface of the movable table 6.

Next, the motor 15 is energized and the paper feed rollers 13, 14 are
is rotated, and the recording paper on which recording has been completed is fed from the moving table 6 to a developing processing device (not shown). When this feeding is completed, the motor 15 is deenergized and the paper feed rollers 13 and 14 are separated. In this way, the initial state is restored, and the next recording is performed in the same manner. As described above, according to the facsimile scanning device of the present invention, the recording paper surface holding mechanisms 21 and 22 are arranged near the rotating disk 16, and the recording paper is pressed against the arcuate inner surface of the movable stage 6 immediately near the scanning position. Since the scanning direction is made to be narrower, the required scanning surface accuracy can be obtained.

During scanning, one end of the recording paper held on the movable stage 6 is held by the paper feed rollers 13 and 14, so that movement of the recording paper can be prevented. Furthermore, since the recording paper held by the moving table 6 is also held by the recording paper guide/press plates 11 and 12, movement of the recording paper during scanning is more reliably prevented. In addition, the paper feed rollers 13 and 14, which serve to securely hold the paper during scanning, allow the paper to be reliably and smoothly fed from the sub-scanning movable table 6 to other processing devices after scanning is completed. . Moreover, the paper feed roller 13
, 14 feed the recording paper 1 in a flat state, so that the tendency of the recording paper 1 to bend during scanning is also corrected. In addition, since the recording paper 1 is fed to the arcuate inner surface of the sub-scanning moving stage 6 and then cut and scanned while being held there, the recording paper feeding mechanism is simplified and the dimension in the sub-scanning direction is shortened. There are some advantages to this. The invention is not limited only to the examples described above, but can be modified in many ways.

For example, in the above-mentioned example, the scanning by the rotating disk 16 is optical scanning, but other scanning methods such as electrostatic recording may also be employed. Further, in the above example, the paper surface holding mechanism was configured with the elastic body 21 and the rigid body 22, but the elastic body may be omitted and an arc-shaped rigid body may be opposed from the inner surface of the support base with a small distance, or a spring may be used. It can be brought into pressure contact with the inner surface of the support base by an elastic member such as the like. When providing a minute interval, the distance between the scanning edge and the paper surface will vary by this minute interval, but for example, when adopting an optical scanning method, the depth of focus of the lens used is set to a predetermined value. This can be compensated by. Furthermore, in the example described above, there are paper press plates 11 on both ends of the paper when viewed in the sub-scanning direction.
12 is provided, but the presser plate 12 on the upstream side as seen in the sub-scanning direction
It is also possible to provide only the press plate 11 on the downstream side and omit the press plate 11 on the downstream side.
In such a case, it is preferable to separate the paper holding mechanism from the paper surface when returning the support base 6 to its original position after scanning.

1. A sub-scanning moving table that has a substantially semi-circular inner surface with an axis extending in the sub-scanning direction and moves in the sub-scanning direction, and a recording paper held in a roll having an axis extending in the sub-scanning direction. a pair of paper feed rollers that sandwich and feed paper from a direction perpendicular to the sub-scanning direction along the semicircular inner surface of the sub-scanning movable base; , a cutter that cuts the recording paper in the sub-scanning direction, and a main scanning means that scans the recording paper held on the semicircular inner surface of the sub-scanning movable table in the main scanning direction that is orthogonal to the sub-scanning direction. In a facsimile scanning device that moves in the sub-scanning direction together with the sub-scanning movable table, it acts as a paper guide when feeding the recording paper to the sub-scanning movable table, and moves the recording paper in a semicircular manner during scanning. A recording paper guide/pressing plate held on an arcuate inner surface is disposed at least at an upstream end when viewed in the sub-scanning direction, and moves in the sub-scanning direction together with the sub-scanning moving stage and is moved by the paper feed roller. A pair of paper feed rollers that pinch the leading edge of the recording paper fed to the sub-scanning movable table and send it out from the sub-scanning movable table after scanning is disposed so as to face the paper feed roller with respect to the sub-scanning movable table. During scanning, a recording paper surface holding mechanism for holding the recording paper in pressure contact with the inner surface of the sub-scanning carriage near the main scanning means is disposed near the main scanning means, and the recording paper is held in a semicircular arc shape of the sub-scanning carriage near the main scanning means. When feeding the recording paper along the inner surface and when feeding the recording paper from the sub-scanning moving stage after scanning, the recording paper guide/pressing plate and the recording paper surface holding mechanism are separated from the semicircular inner surface, and during scanning, the recording paper is moved away from the semicircular inner surface. A facsimile scanning device characterized in that a recording paper guide/holding plate and a recording paper surface holding mechanism are configured to be brought into pressure contact with a semicircular arcuate inner surface.
