Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the strength of coupling of valve rods and as well to enhance the rigidity of a valve element, by simply improving such that a metallic cylinder having a length substantially equal to the overall length of the rotary shaft part of the valve element is attached to the valve rod connecting cylindrical part of the valve element by incorporating the cylindrical part integrally with the valve element. CONSTITUTION:A valve rod connecting cylindrical part 1 provided to a resin rotary valve element 2 is integrally incorporated with a metallic cylinder 3 having a length substantially equal to the overall length of the rotary shaft part of the valve element 2. Further, a metallic first valve rod 4 for controlling the opening and closing of the valve is fitted in the cylindrical part 1 of the valve element 2, rotatably together therewith, and a metallic second valve rod 5 is fitted therein, relatively rotatably with respect thereto.
