Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the titled fiber which shows only a small amount of oil migration to a surface to be cleaned and gives on oily feeling, prepared by impregnating cleaning fiber with a composition which contains a wax having a specified melting point and a liquid lubricating oil. CONSTITUTION:Cleaning fiber is impregnated with a composition which contains a wax with a melting point of 30-85 deg.C and a liquid lubricating oil in the ratio of 1:5-5:1 by weight. The composition is used in an amount of 5-100pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. fiber. Conventional oil-containing cleaning fiber prepared by coating or impregnating the fiber with a mineral oil-based or synthetic lubricating oil, adsorbs and retains dust over a relatively long period of time, but tends to leave oil film on a cleaned surface and gives unpleasant feeling to some people. The fiber of this invention greatly reduces migration of oil to the cleaned surface and minimizes oily feeling.

The present inventors have discovered that when a composition containing a wax having a melting point in the range of 60 to 85°C and a liquid lubricating oil in a predetermined weight ratio is held in a cleaning fiber, the composition is applied to the surface to be cleaned. It has been found that the migration of oily agents is significantly suppressed and the oily feel is also significantly improved.

According to the present invention, cleaning fibers are mixed with waxes having a melting point in the range of 30 to 85°C and liquid lubricating oil in a ratio of 1:5.
There is provided an oil-impregnated fiber for cleaning, characterized in that the oil-impregnated fiber contains a composition containing a composition in a weight ratio of 5 to 1 in an amount of 5 to 100 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of fiber.

An important feature of the present invention is that a wax having a melting point in the range of 30 to 85°C, particularly 40 to 60°C, is used in combination with the oil agent responsible for adsorbing and retaining dust. In other words, in combination with an oil agent, such waxes have excellent adhesion to fibers under normal conditions, and the oil agent is firmly held by the cleaning fibers, resulting in the oil agent transferring to the surface to be cleaned during cleaning. It is thought that this will be significantly prevented. Furthermore, since waxes are blended into the oil agent, even when the oil-impregnated fibers are touched with the hands, the oily feel caused by the stickiness of oil is significantly improved.

In addition, in the present invention, the waxes described above are used to dry oil agents,
In order to prevent wear due to moisture or transfer to foreign substances, an oil-impregnated fiber product with excellent dust collection and dust retention properties can be obtained, and it is stable and does not deteriorate in quality, and is not susceptible to bacteria. Since there is no antibacterial effect on oil-impregnated fiber products,
It also has the advantage of being antibacterial.

In the present invention, when a wax having a melting point higher than the above-mentioned range is used, when the cleaning fiber retains the oil agent, the finish becomes hard and the texture is lost, and it becomes inconvenient as a cleaning fiber product. Furthermore, if the waxes are used in a lower amount than the above range, the effects achieved by using the waxes will be lost.

In the present invention, the above-mentioned waxes are used, and a composition containing the wax and liquid lubricating oil in a weight ratio of 1=5 to 5:1, particularly 1:6 to 6:1, is used as a dust-absorbing oil agent for cleaning. It is held in the fiber for use. If the amount of wax is more than the above range, the desired dust collection and dust retention properties cannot be obtained, and if it is less than the above range, the transfer of the oil to the surface to be cleaned and the oily feel will be unsatisfactory. . Best results are obtained when both are blended in a weight ratio of approximately 1=1.

The amount of the oil composition to be adsorbed and retained on these cleaning fibers is as follows:
It is desirable that the amount of oil is in the range of 5 to 100 parts by weight, especially 10 to 50 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of fiber. If the amount of oil agent is less than 5 parts by weight, it may reduce the dust collection ability and its sustainability. On the other hand, if the amount of oil exceeds 100 parts by weight, there is a tendency for the oil on the fibers to migrate to the cleaning surface during cleaning operations.

In addition, the wax-containing oil agent used in the present invention may be blended with a known antifungal agent or antibacterial agent, and an organic solvent may be used to reduce the viscosity of the oil agent when it is adsorbed onto fibers. It is also possible to use diluents or dispersants such as water or water.
