Abstract

PURPOSE:To form easily and surely a parting line on a product having an intricate shape by interposing a strippable paint which permits cut stripping on the surface of a resin product. CONSTITUTION:A release agent 12 such as silicon is coated on a mold on the surface wherein a painting surface of a resin product (a) is formed, and a strippable paint 13 formed by compounding toluene, methyl ethyl ketone, stabilizer, etc. with vinyl acetate or vinyl chloride is coated thereon over the entire surface and is dried. A top mold coated with the similar stripping agent on the surface is superposed on said mold, and a resin is injected into the mold, whereby the resin is molded. After the strippable paint 13 on the resulting product (a) is dried, the paint is cut and stripped by a suitable means, and a painting surface part 16 is formed. The part 16 is then subjeced to painting, drying, baking, etc. and the paint 13 in the other part is stripped, whereby the product (a) is completed.

Conventionally, when applying partial painting to resin products, it was necessary to use a jig to cover the unpainted parts or to use masking tape to cover the unpainted parts; In the case of products with complex shapes, where it is difficult to seal the cutting lines, complete coverage cannot be achieved.
There are problems such as increased man-hours for corrections, and in the latter case, pasting is troublesome because it requires a lot of man-hours, and pasting of parting lines on curved parts is difficult and requires skill. However, since lifting of the tape could not be completely suppressed, there was a problem in that when the tape was removed, the paint on the area would also come off.

Therefore, the present invention has been made in order to solve the above-mentioned problems of the conventional art.No matter what shape the part to be partially painted has, it can be easily pretreated, and It is an object of the present invention to provide a partial coating method for a resin product in which the coating on the parting line portion does not peel off.

以下、本発明を図示せる実施例に随って説明する。The present invention will be described below with reference to illustrative embodiments.

First, a mold release agent 12 such as silicone is applied to the mold on the side that will be the painted surface of the resin product a, the lower mold 11 in the case of the example, and then a strippable paint 1 having the following composition is applied on top of the mold release agent 12.
Apply 3 to the entire surface and let dry. (See FIGS. 1(a) and 1(b)) Next, the upper mold 14 whose surface is coated with the same mold release agent as above is polymerized, resin is injected, and molded. (See FIG. 1(c)) Although a thermosetting resin is used as the resin material, it is preferable to use a reinforced thermosetting resin when baking painting is performed.

After the strippable paint 13 covered with the painted part of the resin product a molded as described above is dried, it is cut by an appropriate means and peeled off to form the painted surface part 16. (See Figure 1) and (E)) After that, the painted surface part 16 is coated, dried, and baked if necessary, and then the strippable paint 13 is applied to other parts. Peel off and complete the resin product af: (Figure 1(f),
(See (g)) Note that since the mold release agent 12 can also be peeled off when the above-mentioned strippable pane 13 is peeled off, the conventional degreasing operation to remove the mold release agent 12 can be omitted.

Also, when applying the above-mentioned painting station 5, strippable paint 1
It may be applied to the entire surface of the resin product a, including the part coated with No. 3, or it may be applied to an extent that slightly protrudes from the part to be painted. If the paint is applied to the entire surface of the resin product a, the paint will be wasted, but baking may occur due to the primer layer, enamel layer, and clear coat layer, which protects the strippable paint 13 from heat and prevents the plasticizer from splashing. Since this prevents the film from becoming hard, the peelability of the strippable paint 13 after baking is improved.

After applying the strippable paint and letting it dry, we cut and peeled off the strippable paint on the painted area, painted the core part, and then peeled off the strippable paint on other parts, so it was not complicated. The parting line can be easily and reliably drawn even on products with a shape, reducing the number of corrections required. Also, the parting line on curved parts does not come up like with conventional tape, so it is easy to Since the paint does not peel off, we were able to improve the accuracy of the painting.
