The driver's rear visibility in a moving car is mainly obtained from the left and right fender mirrors and the rearview mirror, but when a following car is driving very close to the left and right side lines, there is a blind spot in both of these mirrors, making it difficult for the driver to see the rear view. The driver may not be able to see the vehicle, and therefore, when moving from the driving lane to the overtaking lane or turning left, there is a risk of an accident with a following vehicle located in the blind spot. The problem was that he had to turn around and check the cars behind him.

In view of this, the present invention temporarily expands the reflective area of the rearview mirror when the vehicle changes lanes or turns left.
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a device that can significantly expand rearward visibility and eliminate blind spots. One embodiment of the device will be explained based on the drawings. In FIGS. 1 to 4, 1 is a rearview mirror case; A main mirror 3 supported by a case frame 2 is installed on the front surface of the mirror case 1, and a sub-mirror exit/exit opening 20 is formed on the side surface of the rearview mirror case 1. The opening/closing cover 4 is attached to the portion 20.

This opening/closing cover 4 fits inside the opening 20 for opening and exiting the secondary mirror and closes it.Inside the rear end of the rearview mirror case 1 is a support that rotates around a support shaft 5 on the case frame 2. An arm 6 is provided, and the tip of the support arm 6 is supported by a pivot 7 at the rear end of the opening/closing cover 40.
Therefore, the opening/closing cover 4 is pushed out or retracted from the sub-mirror exit/exit opening 20 by the rotation of the support arm 6.

Furthermore, inside the rearview mirror case 1, a push-out arm 9 that rotates around a support shaft 8 is provided on the case frame 2 at a position behind the main mirror 3, and a drive motor 11 that can swing around a support shaft 10 is provided. This drive motor 11
The nut member 1 has an output shaft 12 formed of a screw shaft, and the screw shaft 12 is pivoted near the support shaft 8 of the push-out arm 9.

When not in use, this secondary mirror 17 is retracted and stored at the position behind the main mirror 3 in the rearview mirror case 1, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, and the push-out arm 9 is in this storage position. A bent portion 18 for entering the sub-mirror is formed so as not to come into contact with the sub-mirror 17.

Therefore, when the drive motor 11 is rotated in the forward direction, the pushing arm 9 is rotated counterclockwise in FIG. , and pull the secondary mirror 17 inward.

The forward/reverse rotation of the drive motor 11 is controlled in conjunction with the direction indicator (not shown) of the automobile, and when the direction indicator is turned on to signal a right or left turn, the drive motor 11 is rotated in the forward direction, and when the turn is completed and the direction indicator is turned off, the drive motor 11 is rotated in the reverse direction.

Reference numeral 19 denotes a tension spring stretched between the extrusion arm 9 and the support arm 6, which is used to rotate the support arm 6 to follow the rotation of the extrusion arm 90, and the rotation radius of the extrusion arm 90 is the same as the rotation radius of the extrusion arm 90. longer than the rotation radius (formed).

Therefore, in the normal state shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, where the secondary mirror 17 is housed in the rearview mirror case 1, the conventional rearward visibility can be obtained only with the primary mirror 3, but the direction indicator is used to change lanes, etc. When lit, the drive motor 11
is rotated in the forward direction, and the push-out arm 9 is rotated counterclockwise.
A pressing force acts on the opening/closing cover 4 via the sub-mirror support frame 14, and the opening/closing cover 4 is pushed out from the opening 2 for moving in and out of the sub-mirror, and the push-out arm 9 and support arm 6 are interlocked by a tension spring 19. Since the extrusion arm 9

is pushed out by both arms 6.9, and together with this, the sub-mirror support frame 14 and the sub-mirror 17 are also protruded externally from the sub-mirror exit/retraction opening 20.

As the push-out arm 9 further advances to the 43rd point, the support arm 6 reaches the 83rd point, and since the rotation radius of the support arm 60 is small, from then on, the support arm 6 moves as shown in the figure.
Almost no force is generated in the direction of pushing out the opening/closing cover, and the opening/closing cover 4 receives only the pushing force of the pushing arm 9 and rotates around the pivot point 7. By moving forward, the opening/closing cover 4 moves from point A3 to point A4, centering on points B4 and B5. A5
Therefore, the angle α between the push-out arm 9 and the sub-mirror support frame 14 increases, and the sub-mirror 1
7 is sent forward while protruding outward due to the above-mentioned rotation of the opening/closing cover 4 and the pushing force of the push-out arm 9, and is finally pushed out into a substantially coplanar area adjacent to the main mirror 3 as shown in FIG. be done.

Therefore, a wide angle range of rearward visibility can be obtained from both the main mirror 3 and the auxiliary mirror 17 when changing lanes.

Further, when the vehicle changes lanes and turns off the turn signal, the drive motor 11 is rotated in the opposite direction, and the secondary mirror 17 is retracted into the rearview mirror case 1 by the reverse operation.

As described above, the present invention provides a rearview mirror case equipped with a main mirror on the front side, in which an opening for opening and exiting the secondary mirror is formed on the side surface of the rearview mirror case, and an opening for opening and exiting the secondary mirror is formed in the rearview mirror case on the front side and the rear side. A support shaft is provided, a push-out arm that rotates horizontally about the support shaft is pivoted to the front support shaft, a support arm that rotates horizontally about the support shaft is pivoted to the rear support shaft, and the push-out arm is pivoted to the front support shaft. A sub-mirror support frame is pivotally attached to the tip for horizontal rotation, and when the extrusion arm and the sub-mirror support frame are folded into a substantially V-shape at the pivot point, the sub-mirror is extended by an opening/closing cover. In order to close the withdrawal opening, the front end of the opening/closing cover is pivotally connected to the tip of the sub-mirror support frame, and the rear end of the opening/closing cover is pivotally connected to the tip of the support arm. A nut member is pivotally mounted, and a driving screw for extending the extrusion arm and the sub-mirror support frame approximately in the same straight line or in a manual manner close to the box is screwed into the nut member, and the extrusion arm is further screwed into the nut member. A tension spring for horizontally rotating the support arm following the rotation of the support arm is connected between the extrusion arm and the support arm, and is supported by the extrusion arm and the sub-mirror support frame and a support frame interlocked therewith. When the opening/closing cover is opened, the secondary mirror, which is exposed on the front side almost adjacent to the primary mirror, is fixed to the secondary mirror support frame, so the push-out arm is rotated by the motor when the vehicle is changing lanes, etc. Then, the opening/closing cover is pressed by both the push-out arm and the support arm to open the secondary mirror exit/exit opening, and the secondary mirror is pulled out to a position adjacent to the primary mirror through the opening. Therefore, the rear field of view of the rearview mirror is dramatically increased to a wider angle by using the main mirror and the submirror in combination, eliminating blind spots and making it possible to safely change lanes while driving.
