Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the abnormality in a flow measuring system in the case of connecting plural flowmeters of the same capability in parallel and adding and displaying the values of the respective flowmeters by announcing the difference or ratio in the measured values exceeds a specified value. CONSTITUTION:An oil lifting pipe 1 communicated with a tank not shown is connected via a pump 3 to branch pipes 2a, 2b. After flow rates are measured with flowmeters 5a, 5b having pulse transmitters 6a, 6b, the pulse are supplied to an oil feed pipe 8. The outputs of the transmitter 6a, 6b are displayed 16 with a selecting circuit 14 and a display driving circuit 15 after counting 11a, 11b and adding 12. The outputs of the circuits 11a, 11b are inputted to the circuit 14 and a comparator 13. If there is more than a specified difference in the count values of the flowmeters 5a, 5b, alarm 19 is raised through a driving circuit 18. Thus if there is abnormality in one of the flowmeters 5a, 5b, said abnormality is detected by the alarm 19.

In a fluid needle metering device, such as a gasoline metering machine, high speed 1
[In order to produce a large amount of oil supplied per unit time, a flow rate needle with higher capacity than the standard flow rate needle installed in the standard specification refueling machine is required. However, since it is undesirable to specially manufacture flow rate needles with different specifications from the viewpoint of manufacturing costs and management, it is desirable to increase the capacity by combining multiple values of standard specification flow rate needles.

Reference numeral 9 denotes a nozzle detection switch, which is installed, for example, in a nozzle case provided in the housing of a ground-mounted refueling machine, and is operated by hooking and unhooking the nozzle to the nozzle case. When the nozzle is removed from the nozzle case, the signal from the nozzle detection switch (nozzle signal) rises (becomes H), and when the nozzle is returned to the nozzle case, the nozzle signal falls (becomes L).

The comparison by the comparison circuit 13 can be performed, for example, by using the signal 4jo3 as a reference and determining the ratio or difference between the signal Ob and the signal Ob. For example, each time the signal Oa reaches a certain value (for example, every 1 liter), the difference between the two signals Oa and Ob is determined.

Close vb, open vO, and connect flowmeters 5a and 5b to connecting pipe 7.
The switching circuit 14 is switched by the changeover switch 17 so that, for example, the output Oa of the counting circuit 11a is guided to the display drive circuit 15, and the nozzle is removed from the nozzle case to return the counting circuits 11&, 11b to zero. and operate the nozzle to supply a certain amount of oil. The amount of oil supplied is displayed on the display 1116 as a measured value by the flow meter 5a depending on the switching state of the switch 14.

The above-mentioned fixed amount of oil supply is also measured as the same amount of oil supply by a flowmeter 5b connected in series with the flow rate needle 5a. Therefore, the changeover switch 17 is changed to guide the count output signal ob of the meter k circuit 1 to the display drive circuit 15, and the measured value of the flowmeter 5b is displayed on the display w16.

Furthermore, signal 06. , Ok) is selectively input to the display drive circuit 15#c via the switching circuit 14, when the changeover switch 1F is operated, 1 becomes the signal 1 of the changeover switch 17.
Therefore, the comparison circuit 13 does not perform a comparison operation.
