Conventional artificial lawns are made by tying together multiple thick denier fibers with a flat cross section and no crimps and using them as a cut pile. The tissue becomes transparent, and the resistance to buckling of the cut pile becomes stronger due to tangles, giving a stinging sensation to the stepping and feel.On the other hand, if the cut pile opens too much, the pile rows become difficult to distinguish and the pile becomes pruned. It has the disadvantage that the appearance of grass is lost and the appearance resembles a monotonous carpet, and furthermore, the fibers bend during use and are difficult to recover, resulting in insufficient durability in terms of appearance. There are also problems.

This invention was made to eliminate and improve the above-mentioned drawbacks and problems of conventional artificial grass, and in addition to the thick fibers of the conventional cut pile, the fibers of the cut pile have much thinner crimps. It is characterized by the use of a combination of filaments.

That is, in the artificial lawn of the present invention, the thin crimped fibers described above work effectively to cover the ground tissue and provide elastic support for the thick fibers, and one unit of the pile is made up of fibers with different properties. Because the pile rows do not disappear easily, the tread comfort, feel, and appearance are superior to that of mown natural grass, and it is also highly durable, so it can withstand pile days. It has the great effect of requiring less application than conventional artificial lawns.

以下、本考案を図面に基いて説明する。The present invention will be explained below based on the drawings.

The artificial lawn of the present invention as shown in the figure has a plurality of thick fibers 3, similar to those in conventional artificial lawns, which have a flat cross section and a fineness of several hundred deniers or more, and are arranged as needed. A slightly twisted multifilament yarn and a crimped multifilament yarn consisting of fibers of several tens of deniers or less are alternately placed in a tufting machine and tufted onto a base fabric in the same manner as a normal cut pile cloth. It is obtained by applying a backing using known means.

The artificial lawn of the present invention is not limited to that obtained by tufting as described above, but may also be obtained by known carpet manufacturing techniques such as weaving and knitting. It may be obtained by passing it through a needle and tufting it.

Example A triangular multifilament yarn consisting of eight uncrimped 300-denier thick green spun-dyed nylon fibers having a substantially rectangular cross section whose long side is 10 times longer than its short side. Thin filament 2600 denier/136 filament nylon multifilament yarns with a cross section also spun in green are arranged alternately, with a needle spacing of 5/3.
Tufting was performed on a base fabric of polypropylene slit yarn fabric under the conditions of 2G, tufting pitch of 8st, and cut pile height of 9mm, and the backing was precoated with PVC resin and baked at 140°C for 15 minutes, followed by SBR foam. These were layered to obtain an artificial lawn as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.

On the other hand, instead of the above-mentioned thin multifilament yarn, we used the above-mentioned thick multifilament yarn similar to conventional artificial lawns, and performed tufting and backing under the same conditions as above, and for comparison purposes. Obtained traditional artificial grass.

That is, the maximum compression pressure when a person steps on the lawn is 1.
75 kg; lcrnM degree, and according to the evaluation results so far, the amount of compression work required to reach each stage of compression pressure of 2 kg/cm2 or less indicates that the more the dog is a dog, the better the stepping feeling is. As shown in FIG. 3 and the above table, the artificial lawn according to the present invention is clearly superior to the conventional one.

In addition, the artificial lawn of the example has a difference in hue and luster between thick and thin filaments, exhibiting variability similar to that of a natural lawn, and has rows of cut piles, giving the appearance of a mown lawn. The artificial lawn of the comparative example had a monotonous hue and gloss, and no rows of cut piles were observed, making it look like a grass-like rug.
