DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a coating method using a curtain flow coater, and by specifying the extending direction of the head slit in relation to the horizontal direction, it is possible to improve the coating performance and downsize the apparatus. This is what we are trying to achieve.

Generally, when coating an object with a curtain flow coater, the object placed on the entrance side belt conveyor is coated with a transparent coating at the bottom of the Dice I-IJ viewing head (hereinafter abbreviated as head). The paint is applied by dipping into the paint curtain that is falling through the slit, and then sent out of the system by a belt conveyor on the exit side.

By the way, as shown in FIG. 1, a coated object 1 having a shape such as a retractable lid covering a piano keyboard is coated with a curtain flow coater on the surface 10 or 1d at the same time as the surface 1a or 1b, respectively. , and when painting without uneven coating, the paint curtain 8 falling from the slit (not shown) of the head 7 as shown in FIGS. 2A and B.
The object to be coated was fed diagonally into the paint curtain 80 at a predetermined approach angle with respect to 0, and was then sent out of the system by an exit belt conveyor -5.

Therefore, the width of the belt conveyors 3 and 5 on the entrance and exit sides is required to be at least equal to the W2 dimension of the object 1 shown in the figure, and the width of the paint curtain is also the width of the above W2. It needed to be longer than a minute.

As a result, belt conveyor 3. Disadvantages include the fact that the head 7 has to be made larger in order to increase the width of the head 5 and increase the slit length, and that it takes a great deal of time and effort to clean the Riki-Ten Flow Coater, especially the head 7. was there.

In addition, if the length of the slit is long, the separate coating curtain 80 will be affected by the wind and will sway greatly, making it unstable. The flow coater was disappointing.

This invention was proposed in view of the drawbacks of the conventional coating method using a curtain flow coater, and it allows the object to be coated to pass through a stable flowing paint curtain to coat the coated surface evenly, and the curtain flow coater coats the coated surface evenly. The aim is to downsize the coater, especially the head, and to save labor in cleaning work.

That is, the gist of this invention is to make a slit in the head so that it has an angle of inclination of preferably 10 to 45 degrees with respect to the horizontal plane, from which the paint curtain is allowed to fall and the object to be coated is painted. That is.

Figures 3A and 3B show a curtain flow coater used in the curtain flow coater coating method of the present invention, in which the paint 8 that is once stored is dropped in the form of a curtain through a slit 71 formed through the bottom. An inlet side belt conveyor 3 and a paint curtain 80 for feeding the object 1 to be coated into the paint curtain 80 across a head 7 having a rectangular cross section and a paint receiving tank (not shown) located below the head.
and an exit side belt conveyor 5 that passes the coated object 1 and sends it out of the system.

The head 7 is inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the horizontal plane, and due to this inclination, the slit 71 formed through the bottom of the head 7 is also inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the horizontal plane.

The inclination angle of the head 7 and especially the slit 71 with respect to the horizontal plane is such that when the paint 8 in the head 7 falls like a curtain, when coating surfaces 1b and 1d of the object 1, the angle of inclination at each point to be coated is determined. It is preferable to set the angle in the range of 10 to 45 degrees with respect to the horizontal plane so that the flow rate is most stable and uniform.

Furthermore, if the slit 71 has the above-mentioned inclination angle with respect to the horizontal plane, the falling velocity of the paint curtain when reaching the surface of the object to be coated which is at an angle with respect to the horizontal plane is uniform, so that In addition to the case where the slit 71 is tilted by tilting the normal head 7 itself, only the slit 71 is tilted at the above-mentioned angle with respect to the horizontal plane, as shown in Fig. 4A and H. A head 17 may also be used.

Furthermore, as shown in FIGS. 5A and 5B, the slits 71, which are inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the horizontal plane, are parallel to the object 1 passing through the paint curtain 80, on both the entrance and exit sides. The belt conveyors 3 and 5 may also be inclined.

In this case, continuous locking protrusions 31 are formed at predetermined positions on the belt surfaces of both belt conveyors 3 and 5 to prevent the object 1 from slipping down due to the inclination toward the bell 1. There is a need.

In this way, the slit 7 is inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the horizontal plane.
When paint 8 is dropped from 1 to 8 in the form of a carton,
The falling velocity of the surface of the object to be coated, which is angled at a certain angle with respect to the horizontal plane of the paint carton 80, becomes uniform in each part.

Therefore, if the object 1 to be coated passes through the paint curtain 80 and is painted, the elevations such as lc and 1d will also become 1a and 1b.
It is possible to simultaneously apply the coating to a flat surface such as the one shown in FIG. There is no need to make the entrance angle at an oblique angle as shown in FIG. 2 and send it into the separate coating curtain 80.

In other words, the object 1 to be coated can be fed into the falling paint curtain 80 through the slit 71 and coated so that the length of the object 1 is parallel to the moving direction of the belt conveyor.

この結果両ベルトコンベアー3,5の幅も狭くて済む。As a result, the width of both belt conveyors 3 and 5 can also be narrow.

Furthermore, the length of the slit 71 can be shortened, which means that the size of the head 7 can also be reduced, and when cleaning the head, it can be done in a shorter time and more easily due to the smaller size, which improves cleaning work efficiency. This is something that can be achieved.
