Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明はエンジンの排気弁装置に関する。
第１図に示すユニフロータイプなどの排気弁を有スるエ
ンノンにおいては、排気弁１と弁シート２間に燃焼残渣
をかみ込み、排気弁１の冷却が不良となり焼損起し排気
ガスの吹き抜けが生じ排気弁ｌの交換が必要となる。従
って排気弁１の寿命を長くするには弁１と弁シート２と
の間に燃焼残渣が付着しな込ようにすることが要点であ
る次、従来のエンジンでは排気弁１と弁シート２に付着
した燃焼残渣を運転中に取り去る機能は有していない。
本発明の目的は前記従来装置の問題点を解消し排気弁と
弁ノートに付着した燃焼残渣を運転中に除去するとｍｊ
時Ｖ（該弁の冷却を十分に行゛うようにしたエンジンの
排気弁装置を提供するにある。
本発明に係るエンジンの排気弁装置は、圧縮行程初期の
一定期間弁の最大揚程の１／１０以下の微小間隙を排気
弁と弁シートの間に形成することによって、弁と弁シー
ト間にかみ込んだ残渣を圧縮空気で吹きとばし前記目的
を達成するよう構成したものである。
以下本発明の〜実施例を第１図乃至第３図を参照して説
明する０第１図は排気弁の駆動方式の一例を示したもの
で、１は排気弁、２は排気弁シート、３はカム、４はカ
ム軸、５はタペットローラ、６は押棒、７は揺腕、８は
揺腕軸、９はシリンダライナ、ｌＯはピストンである。
排気弁ｌは排気カム３によって駆動される。従来の排気
沖１の動きは第２図の実線に示すように、圧縮行程に於
てはシリンダ内の圧縮空気を逃さないよう排気完了と同
時に排気弁１は完全に閉鎖される。この閉鎖時期を通常
排気弁閉鎖点■とよぶことにする。
本発明は通常排気弁閉鎖点■では排気弁１を閉鎖せず、
第２図に示すように、圧縮行程初期の一定期間■の間、
点線のように弁最大揚程Ｈの通常１／１０以下の微小揚
程ｈ′を保持させ排気弁を僅かに開放しておき、排気弁
１と弁７−ト２との間にかみ込んだ燃焼残渣を圧縮空気
で吹きとばすようにしたものである。このため機械式排
気弁駆動方式のエンジンに於ては、弁の揚程をコントロ
ールするカム３に第３図に示すように弁１の揚程ｈ′に
相当する量の突出部りを０部分に設けることにより、そ
れを達成できるようにしたものである。
なお前記実施例では２サイクルユニフローエンノンにつ
いて説明したが、本発明は排気弁を有するすべてのエン
ジンに対して適用可能である。
以上に述べたように、本発明に係る排気弁装置では、排
気弁を具えたエンジンにおいて圧縮行程初期の一定期間
弁最大揚程の１／１０以下の微小間隙を該排気弁と弁シ
ート間に形成するようにしたで吹きとばし除去すると同
時に、排気弁を該空気で十分に冷却することができる。

  1. 排気弁を具えたエンジンにおいて、圧縮行程初期の一定
    期間内に弁最大揚程の１／１０以下の微小間隙を上記排
    気弁と弁シートとの間に形成したエンジンの排気弁装置
    。
