Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the travelling performance of a magnetic tape with a simple constitution, by providing the magnets on the upper and lower faces of a reel member and the upper and lower inner wall surface of a case opposite to said upper and lower surfaces of the reel member and floating up the reel member with the magnetic force within the case. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape 9 is wound round a reel member 3 and stored into a tape cassette. The magnets 5-8 are provided on the upper and lower surfaces of the member 3 and the upper and lower inner wall surfaces of a cassette case 1 opposite to said upper and lower surface of the member 3 so that the faces of the same poles are set opposite to each other. The member 3 is floated up in the case 1 by the force of the magnets 5-8. For instance, the ring-shape magnets 5 and 6 are set on the inner surface of the case 1, and the ring-shape magnets 7 and 8 are provided on the upper and lower surfaces of the reel hub 3.
