Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor which is high in sensitivity, has the sensitivity flat over the entire visible light region, and is superior in durability by contg. a specific disazo pigment in an electric charge generating layer and contg. a specific distyrylbenzene compound in an electric charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:The disazo dye expressed by the formula (1) is contained at 10-100wt% of an electric charge generating layer 22, whereby the layer 22 of 0.01-5mu thicknesses is formed on a conductive substrate 11. Next, an electric charge transfer layer 33 of 5-40mu thicknesses contg. 10-80wt% the compound expressed by the formula (2)[R is carbazolyl, pyridyl, thienyl, indolyl, furyl, or respectively (un)saturated phenyl, styryl, naphthyl, anthryl; substituents are dialkylamino, alkyl, alkoxy, COOH or its ester, halogen, CN, aralkylamino, NH2, OH, NO2 and acetylamino]is formed on the layer 22. In this way, the photosensitivity, durability, etc. are improved.
