Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate roll of a rolling element by changing the radius of portions which contact an outer ring and an inner ring.
CONSTITUTION: When an outer ring 1 rolls left in an arrow direction, a rolling element is given force from the portion contacting an outer ring groove 3, rolls left on axis center 5 of the rolling element and a part 4, which is in contact with an inner ring 2, rolls on the inner ring 2. Since axis of each rolling element is connected by a cage 6, the rolling elements rotate while keeping an equally spaced distance. When a rolling element, of which surface contacting an outer ring has a different radius from that contacting an inner ring, is in contact with an outer ring and an inner ring at points A and B respectively, the rolling element tends to roll on point B' with the radius AB'. Therefore, the radius of turning becomes shorter as compared to the case when radii of contact surfaces are same and the rolling element becomes easier to roll.
