Abstract
PURPOSE: To make sealing-up secure, by using some of steam from a flasher to seal up the shaft of a turbine and using some of steam from a separator to perform sealing-up for backup.
CONSTITUTION: A sealing steam pipe 17 is provided so that some of steam from a flasher 7 is supplied as sealing steam to the gland 11 of a turbine. The opening and closing of a pressure control valve 13a provided in the sealing steam pipe 17 is regulated by a pressure controller 21a to which a signal is applied from a pressure detector 20b. A sealing steam pipe 24 for backup is branched from a primary main steam pipe 3 and fitted with a stop valve 25, a pressure detector 20a and a pressure control valve 13a, which is opened or closed by a pressure controller 21a. Even if the flasher 7 or the like develops a trouble, steam from a separator 3 can be supplied to the gland 11 lest the gland should corrode due to wet steam.
