Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the damage in the transmission fiber without erroneous operation by comparing the reflected light from the emitting end of the fiber with reference light which is a part of transmitted light of laser light. CONSTITUTION:A shutter 4, which detects the trouble in the laser light reflected from the emitting end 3 of the laser transmitting fiber 2 and is operated, is provided on an optical axis of a laser light source 1. The trouble detector which is linked with the shutter 4 is provided between an inside viewing mirror 6 and the shutter 4. A mirror 7 is provided. An optical detector 8 and an amplifier 9 are arranged on the reflected optical axis of the mirror 7. The detector 10 which detects the reference light of the laser light is provided in the irradiating light source 1. A gate circuit 11 which performs ON and OFF operations of a contact switch 5 when the shutter 4 is closed from an open position is arranged, and an amplifier 12 is arranged. A differential amplifier 13 and a comparator 14 are arranged after the amplifier 9. The shutter control circuit 15 and the shutter 4 are linked together.
