Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily produce a small-sized light module at low cost by a method wherein the conversion element of a receiving light module and peripheral circuits are coated with a transparent mold substance and an external shape is formed with an opaque mold substance and the space between the transparent and opaque mold substances is filled with an electromagnetic wave shielding member. CONSTITUTION:Transfer mold is applied as the first-stage mold so that the lead frame group 54 of a receiving light module 51, light sensitive elements 60, IC element 55, and bonding wires may be coated and a transparent mold substance 57 is formed. An nesa film 71 is formed and deposited as an electromagnetic shielding member so that light to the light sensitive element may not be disturbed. Next, the second stage mold is applied so that a condensing lens 57a at the light incoming surface of the light sensitive element may be exposed and an impermeable mold substance 52 is formed. In this way, a small-sized and electromagnetic noise-proof light module which easily performs optical axis positioning can be obtained at low cost.
