Abstract
PURPOSE: To generate electricity through utilization of water having no current, by submerging a lower half of a box under the water surface, carrying water introduced into the box from a water inlet port formed at the bottom of the box to the upper surface of the box, making water flow downward along the upper surface of the box, and rotating water turbines by the water flowing down along the upper surface of the box.
CONSTITUTION: A lower half of a box 1 is submerged under the water surface and water turbines 8 are disposed at water outlet ports 7 of the box 1. Water introduced into the box 1 from a water inlet port 2 formed at the bottom of the box 1 is carried upward to the upper surface of the box 1 and then is made to flow downward along the upper surface of the box 1 for causing rotation of the water turbines 8 by the water flowing down along the upper surface of the box 1. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to generate electricity with ease by use of sea water, lake water or the like having no currents.
