Abstract

PURPOSE: To make hole machining easy, by a method wherein pins are forced into non-hardened FRP raw material and pulled away after the raw material is approximately hardened, a hole is bored at subsequent machining, and reduction of strength caused by cutting or transferring of reinforcing fiber at forcing of pins is prevented.
CONSTITUTION: Molds 1, 1 are provided with pins 2, 2 opposed with each other in approximately concentric state, a raw material 3 for leaf spring is pushed in thickness direction by the molds 1, 1 and the pins 2, 2 are forced into the raw material 3. After the raw material 3 is nearly hardened, the molds 1, 1 are separated from each other and the pins 2, 2 are pulled away, thereby the raw material 3 with blank holes 4, 4 opposed in approximately concentric state is obtained. A through hole 5 is bored at approximately concentric to the blind holes 4, 4 and the same diameter as that of the blind holes, thereby a leaf spring A is obtained.
