Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the titled preparation having high water-solubility and excellent uniformity, by coating fine granules obtained by the granulation of a water-soluble pharmaceutical additive with a solid solution consisting of nifedipine which is a hardly water-soluble remedy for stenocardia and polyvinyl pyrrolidone.
CONSTITUTION: A water-soluble pharmaceutical additive (e.g. a water-soluble vehicle such as lactose, glucose, etc., a diluent, a binder, a surface-active agnet, etc.) is granulated to fine granules. The objective easily absorbable nifedipine preparation can be obtained by coating the granules with a solid solution consisting of nifedipine[chemical name; dimethyl-1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-4-(2- nitrophenyl)-3,5-pyridinecarboxylate]and polyvinyl pyrrolidone. Since the preparation thus obtained has uniform drug content, it can be dosed in high accuracy, and since it has excellent solubility in water, it can be easily absorbed in the body.
