Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of environmental pollution caused by exhaust gas and vacuum problem by eliminating incomplete combustion, by presuming the composition of substances to be incinerated from conditions of actual operation and values obtained from analysis, and setting furnace operating conditions according to the presumed composition of the substances to be incinerated. CONSTITUTION:Quantity of combustible carbon in substances to be incinerated is calculated from the amount of the substances to be incinerated put into an incinerator, amount of combustion-assisting material and amount of carbonic acid gas in the exhaust gas, while the quantity of water contained in the substances to be incinerated is calculated from the amount of the substances to be incinerated put into the incinerator, amount of water contained in the exhaust gas, amount of combusting air, and the amount of air for cooling the atmosphere in the furnace. Further, the quantity of heat produced from the substances to be incinerated is calculated from the amount and temperature of exhaust gas, amount of combustion-assisting material, amount of combusting air, and the amount of air for cooling the atmosphere in the furnace. Quantity of combustible hydrogen is calculated from the values obtained from the above calculation. Then, furnace operating conditions are determined by presuming the composition of the substances to be incinerated from the values obtained from the analysis and carrying out computation while comparing the actual operating conditions with setting values for optimal furnace operating conditions meeting with the presumed composition of the substances to be incinerated.
